  • In the old days, before eBay bought Paypal, a seller had the option of receiving payment via Paypal or NOT. Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't eBay REQUIRE a Paypal ONLY payment for any seller's auction listing?

Please clarify why you believe Paypal is NOT required and point out where in the eBay rules it specifies a seller has an option NOT to accept Paypal.

I'm hoping there is an actual option for a seller NOT to accept a Paypal payment for an auction.

    Thanks in advanced!

  • @pnojazz I know that when you make an auction that you have to take at least one form of online payment and one specific seller that I saw selling their items mentioned that they take PROPAY. But you can always mention in your auctions that you don't take paypal. The best way to get around it is by adding a picture that you take anything but paypal, like cheques, money orders, etc.

  • Some wacko filed three fake claims against me after she gave me fake contact info, even after I'd refunded her immediately. PayPal had me fill out all info to argue my case and then proceeded to ignore everything I'd said & took $40 PLUS shipping out of my account and gave it to the scammer -- even though I'D ALREADY REFUNDED her. As you said, no questions asked. Even after they straightened it out and gave me my money back, they still couldn't grasp the concept that she scammed THEM for $40.

  • If i shouldn't use or accept paypal as a payment method.. What better options are there? Accepting credit card payments? Im a eBay buyer and seller, and ive never used anything but paypal. So far i haven't had any problems with paypal. But to avoid future problems what do you guys suggest i use as a seller and buyer on eBay?

  • your exactly right!

  • some dude in germany filed a buyer protection claim against me for a laptop memory I sold him. ebay paypal (same fucking thing) sent me the link to answer his claim on ebay germany. I can't even fucking speak german. I tried to answer the questions and they refunded the fucker his money by the third question answered. He never sent my laptop memory back and "dueschbay" never even responded to my question about where my fucking product was. Assholes. Hope they all burn in hell.

  • What are the alternatives? I HATEEEEEEEEEEEEE PAYPAL AND EBAY THEY R ONLINE CROOKS AND GANGSTERS.

  • Remember when Zoozoo pets first came out? Right before Christmas. All over Ebay they were posting do not offer to sell if you do not have, or if you have to order. I had purchased one too many and put it on Ebay. At the last possible hour, a guy won the auction. We won on Tuesday, and asked me to speed ship, over night. I informed him I do not ship until funds clear. His funds cleared on Thursday! If went out on Friday. Of course, Sunday was Christmas. Monday, he was refunded.

  • @phucksocialism what is your problem dude? looks who's talking...

  • son of a bitch! i just used paypal to buy a plastic that was .99 cents plus 1.99 s&h is it likely that ima get robbed?

  • hes spot on ,what hes saying is true, believe me,happens to me every week

  • True I freaking got scammed because of Paypal, the scammer sent me fake Paypal emails :(

  • Paypal did the same crap to me...with out asking me about the situation either..even though I have 'no refunds', and shipped it out as soon as payment cleared, since the guy no longer wanted it, he complained, got his money back and the product. When I complained it fell on deaf ears....what are the other options than paypal?

  • @sandrajeanification

Paymate or a Merchant account.. Unfortunately the majority of ebayers only use paypal which puts us on a tough spot.. They don't realize what they're up against, once you give paypal your banking info, it's like giving the general public access to your bank/money.. As far as I'm concerned paypal are thieves themselves so you aren't protected..

  • @Golddot888 Thank you for the information. I am dealing right now with some one, who when she opened the vintage dishes she purchased from me, didn't contact me first, but filed a "Item not as described". I sent her a response, that she waited a week to answer, and told her, the dishes were exactly as described. It was a broken in shipping issue. I sent her two, not one, replacements. She has responded to me, not with a thanks, but with, "I am on vacation until July 10". What?

  • @sandrajeanification

. it's so easy to scam ppl with paypal... buy something and file a dispute... within hours i bet the money will be back in ur account. I tried it and it works! the reason I did it is cuz the person didn't respond & sent me the item 3 weeks later.. I was kind enough to return his money but I didn't have to according to PayPal

  • I should have definetly done that to this one bitch. Sold me some fugly blackberry that didn't work cuz her account had a 70 dallor own -age. and i sincerely did not like the purchase that i made and i taught it was gonna work but it didn't so i should have been a asshole and called paypal to get my damn money back and give the crap back to the bitch who sold it to me in the first place! She said she can't give my money back cuz she used it , well thx for the info, i could use force NEXT TIME!!!

  • Paypal and Ebay, double dipping bastards.

  • For working Paypal Hack

    go to this video:

    watch?v=wKIQH2Ka_TM

  • Maybe you can deal with local customers and accept cash when possible at time of pick up. I've heard of something called "Google check out" which operates outside of Ebay/PayPal allowing you to sell on Ebay then collect payments through Google. Personally, I haven't sold anything on Ebay since getting screwed over and I don't know how you can protect yourself completely with Ebays new lop sided policies. The sellers get the short end of the stick and you can't leave a NEG feedback. Ebay = Crooks

  • This man is telling it like it is! But it gets even worse. I was an Ebay user for 9 years with a 100% FB. I sold a like new Nikon that I bought new. I sent it out after receiving payment through PayPal. The buyer claimed "item not as described" buyer returned his heavily used camera, at which time PayPal DEBITED my account. Buyer left NEG FB; I lost my camera, my $ and my 100%. SCREW YOU EBAY & PAYPAL! EBay’s new policies make it easy for crooks to separate you from your goods and your money.

  • @s2sailingfree what should i used then? if not paypal to accept payments? what do you recommend? i'm new to ebay and the ebay forums are full with trolls and dickheads that don't help but instead spam the shit out of you!

  • WE NEED NY CRAZY DRIVER FOR ALL COMPANIES WHO SCREW US, NY CRAZY DRIVER STANDS UP FOR THE TRUTH & HELPS US, OF COURSE PAYPAL & EBAY FEAR HIM & AS ANY OTHER COMPANY WOULD BECUASE HE POINTS OUT THIER UNFAIRNESS & THAT FORCES THEM TO LOOK AT HOW THERE RULES SCREW PEOPLE. HE IS RIGHT EBAY IS NOT FAIR AT ALL TO THE SELLERS, SURE BUYERS ARE IMPORTANT TOO, WITHOUT SELLERS LIKE NY CRAZY DRIVER EBAY WOULD HAVE NO BUYERS!!!!! AT LEAST YOU CAN CONTACT NY CRAZY DRIVER!!! EBAY EMAIL-NO PHONE SUPPORT?

  • Man, that is just Brutal!

Am glad I never use Paypal, I prefer to shop online with pre-paid credit cards.

Good Video, sorry about your misfortune.

  • Do not deal with PAYPAL......period..

  • thats why i dont sell on ebay i just buy somethings

  • someone message me!!! when i sell an item, can i just leave the money on paypal, or do i have to wire it to my checking/savings account?

  • E-Bay seller's remember! There is a thing called Karma..If a buyer scams you out of your merchandise, as well as your MONEY...It will come back to bite them right in their green asses..It doesn't make the seller feel better at the moment, but that scammer will get their's in the long run, and the seller will be compensated in another transaction in the future..Mark my WOOORDDSSS..What you reap you sow.

  • @Ensilvanation Lol. Karma. I mean, I don't dick people over, but karma? Really?

Btw, what you could do is as soon as you get the money, spend it. I don't know if it works but it could do.

  • SO YOU WANT THE BUYER TO PAY NOT THROUGH PAYPAL BUT SEND YOU A CHECK OR MONEY ORDER? HELL NO! PAYPAL IS THE CONSUMER'S ONLY BACK UP OR PROTECTION THAT THEY GOT. EBAY SELLERS SOMETIMES CLOSE THEIR ACCOUNT AFTER THEY GET THEIR MONEY AND NEVER SEND THE ITEM SO HELL NO, THANK GOD FOR PAYPAL FOR RETURNING MY MONEY BACK!

  • @thelordsbaby If they don't get the item. They have your address which they can then use to contact authorities

  • ebay owns BidsWOW.com

  • they dont do that anymore cause it happened to me some guy said i sent an item that was faulty even tough i said it was paypal took my side of the story

  • He fails to mention that paypal investigates each claim and does not automatically side with the buyer. I had someone claim non delivery and paypal took the money from my account. I then provided tracking info to paypal and not long after my money was restored.

  • ppl are finding out more & more about this..which sux cause now everyones out to rob sellers.Ebay is slowly destroying themselves.& why do ppl leave their $ floating around in a pay-pal acct?? Call ur bank & have your $ switched to your saveings account as soon as the sale has been made. Why cant ppl do this?Pay pal cant touch ur saveings,& have ppl sign 4 ur product,& sell as is.ALL SALES FINAL!! Better yet..Open a merchant acct.Dont set urself up 4 problems. This can be avoided.

  • allrite so what are other options i can use to sell my stuff???? if i cant use paypal then how else can i sell my stuff online??

  • I have an account with PayPal. I only buy on eBay shooed I be concern about it?

  • i have an idea: everyone start opening claims on everything. the more they end up paying you back, they'll realize how retarded their policy of automatically awarding buyers is.

  • So glad I'm not the only one who has been screwed by paypal.. multiple times! I've been complaining to people who don't care for years! I haven't sold shit on ebay for years because of how much I hate both of those sites now. When is a GOOD ebay alternative going to come alive? Ebay and paypal have a god damn monopoly.

  • Its not paypals fault John Smith is an asshole.

  • paypal is a scam you are correct. I was a power seller on ebay and paypal ended up suspending my account for a rediculous reason (I wont get into that.).....

    But......

What you are saying is a bit incorrect, if your item is listed as abraham lincohns notebook and he wanted george washington, then as long as he says that you are covered. Now if he lies off his ass then yeh you are pretty much correct and screwed by paypal lol.

  • TALK FASTER YOU TWA........soz bad day

  • Paypal doesn't even reply to emails, they send robotic shit to you..

  • because of the big quantity of everyday court legal claims against paypal can put paypal in risk, ebay recently removed the hot potato from paypal hands and is ebay who controls now the disputes cases and is even much worse than in paypal.at the present,if you're a seller and a buyer opens a case against you in ebay, any kind of claim, you're lost in disgrace because they decide always in favour of the buyer!ALWAYS!they ignore any proof you present and decide always in favour of the buyer!

  • Paypal is absurd and full of lies, but much more absurd is ebay.Ebay is responsable for all the lies in Ebay and Paypal.Ebay is Paypal owner and control both.incredible absurd dishonest acts from ebay and paypal happen everyday.emotional and ecconomic extorsion, opression and racism segregation, lies, nonsenses are paypal and ebay specialities.ebay and paypal are complete frauds and is incredible how ebay and paypal continue to operate impune doing such big atrocities.ebay cheats and lies !!!

  • well you have to take paypal now or you cant sign up to sell and only the buyer can give a neg. which leaves sellers at the blackmail mercy of the buyer it makes me not want to sell anymore...HEY EBAY your big money comes from us sellers how bout putting us on equal ground at least ...GOD!! there needs be a better place to sell on line EBAY SUXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

  • Going through the same shit right now! Sold $4000 worth of merchandise in 3 days. One customer from the middle east requests a tracking number at 3am that day while I was sleeping then sends a dispute to Ebay imediately! WTF! SOOO, Ebay suspends my account without any question and PayPal seizes my money. In the mean time, my merchandise have already been sent out to multiple customers! Will they send it back? Probably not! Will Ebay refund me? Probably not! Will Paypal release funds? Who knows!!

  • 13% of every ebay sale goes to its fees along with paypal fees and thats without including the shipping cost . How many businesses can make a decent profit with that albatross ? ebay will go down because of its greed and another site will take its place .

  • That's bs I'm a seller I ve been scammed numerous times recently $637.99 and they kept my Cartier watch paypal sucks

  • paypal is actualy now better... improved... it requires both parties to approve the refund... and before the seller gives the refund they have the right to demand the product back first... when it arrives back in your possesion you can refund...

  • wrong!they only ask the tracking number, but they investigate nothing!they decide always in favour of the buyer.when returning the items, many times buyers are crazy guys in revenge boken and damage the items and the items are returned in very bad condition to the sellers, sellers contact paypal and ebay telling them that and they even not reply us! paypal and ebay are ridivulous and full of lies why are you defending them?are you an ebay or paypal employee spy?help to fight againts injusticeor bye

  • There needs to be an entire book of new laws for a young industry with a huge presence and influence in the global blue collar economy. I have invented a consumer focused regulatory fix. transactionreportsystem The Present feedback system is inadequate for member security. BBB needs a partner. I wish I was a webmaster with experience with Crystal Reports and data crunching/database systems.

  • paypal is nothing but a scam. ppl do your research. if you value your money and privacy DON'T USE PAYPAL.

  • You are not entirely correct. Both sides are contacted FIRST before money is refunded. If the buyer makes a mistake you do not have to refund and paypal will not do so. If an item has an incorrect description then a refund can be given. It protects buyers and sellers. Most scammers I experience are sellers on ebay. I have lost money to sellers for incorrectly described/pictured goods. I've ended up paying return postage and waited weeks for a partial refund. Sellers are scammers too.

    .

  • whoa, whoa, whoa... wait a minute, what if you dont accept returns/refunds will pay pal still get that money from your account and give it back to the buyer?

  • GREAT VIDEO A BIG FAN PLEASE KEEP MAKING MORE PLEASE GREAT

  • Since they outsourced paypal support to a call centre in India customer support has been ridiculous. Also from a security perspective you have to be nuts giving them your personal data now. Already been alot of news about people finding there details have ended up with organised crime.

  • You cannot sell on eBay without taking paypal. So-I-Don't-Sell-On-eBay-Anymore.........At all.

  • Pay pal is NOT a bank and therefore do not have to adhere to the financial laws of this country.... they suck.

  • lame vid... you must of had a bad experience because most of what is said is just pure ignorance... sure they charge you for listing, final value, and again for using paypal.. i'm sure if you rented a booth at a flea market you will be paying a fee for that too, or if you want to consign your stuff to be auctioned, yep another fee for that, so what is the big deal? you think they charge too much? eh, to each his own I guess...

  • What about protection for buyers?

  • same here no longer accepting anything paypal

  • I was told that Ebay will only accept Paypal, and money orders are not accepted!

  • @4xleader1 That is true

  • @4xleader1

isn't it rediculous that the money from our item is ripped off three times, first in the listing fee, then in the paypal fee, then again in the final value fee/commission

  • @Carmarthan415 They are the terms and conditions YOU agree to. If you do not them it is quite a simple choice to make! Don't use the services. Either go elsewhere or shut up complaining. It is YOUR choice, no one forces you to use ebay/paypal.

  • Yes, paypal is a scam. They charged too much over the fee. Fuck them. But if you need to sell something on ebay you need to have paypal account to sell on there. Fuck ebay and paypal. But if you are a buyer you are the winner but not the seller. :D. I love paypal but not them fee charges policy. Paypal is a communist and scammer. Stay away from paypal and ebay also. but for seller paypal can save you from the scammers. :)

  • Tell everyone you know! Join the fight between us and eBay/Paypal

  • This case just happened to me. Screw PayPal. I will never use them again.

  • say that the buyer didint like the item but i puted AS IS do i as a seller loose

  • There are several more examples of Paypal ripping off sellers, no questions asked. Seller gets screwed. Thay act as if they are so against fraud, and they allow so much buyer fraud they stink. They don't care, its not sweat off their ass.

  • Paypal sucks and Ebay sucks.

  • I had the exact same experience. Some one bought a new camera from me, and then claimed the LCD was damaged. PayPal took the money from my account and I got the damaged camera. No matter what the claim is, it will be closed in buyer's favor on PayPal.

  • I sold an item on eBay to someone who paid me through PayPal. The item was delivered by UPS with a tracking number. One month later the buyer claimed that the item was not received. Even though I have UPS tracking number and the proof of delivery, PayPal still closed the case in buyer's favor. $400 was taken right out from my PayPal account, and the buyer still got the item. I will never use PayPal again. This is just not right.

  • paypal ruined my 50,000 per week business by freezing my account because i was selling gold bullion. they are dumb.

  • Paypal suck, no chance in hell I am using paypal anymore. A friend of mine sold a $300 item on Ebay and the purchaser paid using paypal, 3 months past and out of the blue the debt collectors are on her door step hounding her for money she owes paypal, get this Paypal did not even raise a dispute or even contact her, they just gave the purchaser their money back and they kept the item. Fuck you PAYPAL, what goes around comes around, I will spread the word not to use paypal

  • I totally agree I have got screwed by paypal

It is not fair they can take your money without asking and if you fight they agree with buyer always!!!

  • That's a damn shame. ebay did the same to me. I sent a guy a product i was selling, he claimed he paid for it, but never got it., then he complained to ebay...so my ebay account was frozen. The guy did not have any proof that he paid in any way. SO FUCK YOU EBAY!

  • @nujazzplay i dont get it. how could he claim he paid for it? doesnt ur paypal account show that he paid u and the money was sent to u? and if not why would u send anything to him if he never paid u?

  • paypal and ebay has been WONDERFUL to me!!!!!!

  • You guys are dumb... as the seller, if you provide a tracking number, and the item is delivered, it's a done deal... AS LONG AS YOU PROVIDE A LEGIT TRACKING NUMBER!

  • @lakerimff WRONG in a lot of case it dont matter. people still get it up the ass with paypal. even if they got proof of no wrong doing.

  • @lakerimff Not for international transaction under there policy you have no protection, automatic refund. Also if the buyer claims "not as described" he will get his money back regardless of tracking number.

  • i cancelled an uncliamed paypal transaction and didn't get my money back for a month!

  • green dot ,paypal and ebay is the same company look out ok

  • paypal and ebay is the same company and what you don't that they will charge you for using paypal for selling then charge you to transfer the money to your bank account but other auction site let your money go directly to your bank account

  • i bet paypal pay google(youtube)to hide this hate video of paypal from a top or most viewer website

  • @besiputih1 @besiputih1 guess what? paypal have a youtube account but lookee here lol THEY DONT ALLOW COMMENTS!

  • everything there you just said is a 100% true. i have seen it time and time again and it's pathetic paypal does this...

i'll raise you one further though. you seel a bunch of products and once the sale are complete, paypal then freezes your account and right from that moment says they will release the money in 6 months to protect themselves from chargebacks... They did it to me at the end of January... Still to this date, not a single chargebacks, and paypal still says F*&^% You. $3,000...

  • Pay Pal and ebay are the same company, when a user has an issue ebay or paypal agent say they are different companies however whatever happens in a transaction they share all your info and act together to take measures actions and punishment against a user.. It is true when you enroll in their system you agree that your money and products are now theirs. Government should take an action on them!

  • eBay used to be a tiny cute little company n now they r CORPORATE

    same thing with paypal.

government wouldn't dare take action against corporate Giants the r the rulers they rule we'r slaves WAKE UP.

  • @ dollar-doctor . com it shows how to make money online

  • Go look up the lady who just sold her nintendo {& games} for $13,000... bet she's about to get a surprise.

  • brother, similar thing happen to me, it was a Camcorder I sold, and sent it off, Buyer decides to open Resolution case on ebay. Under "buyer Protection" buyer is automatically wins Case. Lost the money & camcorder. Spread the word, Ebay/Paypal sucks!

  • yes, but i think ebay now requires only PayPal be used for payments.....so they got you

  • What you are claiming is not true, When a paypal despute is made both sides are emailed. I have been both the buyer and seller on ebay and have used Paypal for many moons.

I have had people try a reverse payment and lose. It comes down to following their rules and making sure you take the steps to protect yourself.

If you are not taking the steps to protect yourself or responding to desputes against you then thats your bad.

  • Ya however if your taken the stuff down to protect yourself if they use a CC they will win no matter what you do.

  • @xeradclan hmm so you must be a very lucky person. due to the fact that fairness does not seem to be part of paypal.

  • @xeradclan thats utter bullshit

  • EBAY owns PAYPAL: I have sold on ebay for over 10 yrs, i have watched & read several of the comments here on youtube about ebay & paypal. Alot of you may not know, that ebay owns paypal; always have.

  • yeah, thats why I use amazon instead of ebay. ebay is a ripoff.

  • @devotedalex does this crap only happen to sellers or buyers as well cause ive bought heaps of stuff through ebay and used paypal but never had any probs when it comes to p.p taking the money from my bank acc

  • @devotedalex IN THE beginning E-bay did not own paypal. It was a free site for years. Went downhill when purchased by e-bay. no longer taking paypal

  • They have not always owned Pay Pal, They were aquired them

  • ebay and paypal are worse online marketing and they behind all the mess.they have created a new generation of fraud and thieves and we have to fight them by not using ebay or paypal, there are ebid, amazon ,,etc and can be free too, they even have can claimed that i sent money to someone but i never did and taking them to court,so let all stop using those jerks and support other smaller.on long term you will regret even looking at their site,so please do not make this mistake and use paypal.

  • This go is so correct. It happened to me. Paypal does not protect the seller. I hate Paypal - i lost $810 and a scammer made $810 and still has my item.

  • I am a legit seller and i get scam.

I never thought it would happen to me but good thing is that i will go straight to the client and break his leg lol if he fucks with me,

  • The 10.00 trinket you spoke off...would it be that lame Kiss shirt your sporting? Of course not. That stupid shirt aint worth 00.10 douche

  • you seem to be only pretecting the seller...not the buyer..what about the buyer mutha fucka?huh...answer me you fuckin gweedo!!!!!

  • I hate it that on eBay u have to use paypal

  • You don't have to use paypal on ebay. when you sell an item, you uncheck paypal as a payment method, and check on using online merchant.

  • Get married and get a life...no one wants to hear your shit.

  • claim and cancel

  • Lunatics decide who gets the money when you elect Paypal dispute, when you get scammed. They make no sense on decisions, usually helps the scammer. The ignorant think its safe way to pay, HA HA

  • lol ebay sux

  • Comment removed

  • yeahh i like the kiss shirt!!!

  • I tried to purchase some gaming coins on a website using paypal, it cost me $2 per attempt to buy these coins...strangely enough I get a message saying "failed to withdraw" or something like that and they charged $2 per attempt. xD I lost $20 and ended up going to Wal Mart in the end.

  • habbo

  • ALL sellers MUST CHARGE SHIPPING! ebay wants sellers to not charge for shipping but you have to in order to level off the cost of listing your items.

  • Your right. They try to get you to use free shipping by give you incentives. You end up losing cause you pay more in the final value fee. I see alot of people fall for it and are using free shipping. It does not work out in the end.

  • fuck ebay over by making your listing price one cent and a bloated shipping charge because your insertion fee is based on the listing price not the shipping hAHa

  • Paypal have a new talk site, google paypal lets talk.

  • Thanks you for posting this. I am selling a camera on Craigslist and I get a lot of scammers, they are usually easy to spot, they want you to ship the item to another country. Last night I got someone from Wisconsin, he sounded honest and asked me to put the camera on eBay so he could buy it and we "both have protection" Your video and others have made me realize that PayPal can be scammed as well. I'll keep my camera here in CA thank you very much!

  • I really don't know why I did it. But the man did everything he said he was going to do. I got my projector and I was very happy with him.

But I decided not to risk my hard earn money on that stuff on ebay. They can care less about anybody but the money they make. Period.

I want to say to ebay fail well. Good bye! Hasta la vista baby! lol

I want to thank this man for posting this video. He is saving a lot of people some headaches and grief. Thank you Sr.

  • Well I have heard that ebay had gone down the drain when they started allowing the big corps involvement. And when the new executives started making new changes. The little guy got pushed down to the bottom. For what I can see this could be the end of a giant. It's just a matter of time. People hate getting ripped off so it won't be long before you won't find it in the map. lol!

I was one of the lucky few. I bought a movie projector and the man was very honest. I paid him with a money order.

  • Ebay is 100% supportive of buyers, They do not care about the sellers, which is silly because it is the sellers that pay them. Also 10% Final Value Fees are rediculous.

  • Guy in video is not telling the truth. Prior to touching any money received from an auction, PayPal has a dispute resolution process in which both seller and buyer attempt to reconcile differences. Only afterwards does PayPal study situation to see if buyer has a ligitimate complaint. With nearly 8000 auctions, I've never had a situation like that described in this video (buyer changing mind with PayPal taking money, etc). My problems have always been with dishonest sellers.

  • very good point. i know my dad bought a game from ebay and some one got ahold of his bank number and entered money into the bank then took it out to see if the account worked. we canceled it.

  • @stewartx5

I've been scammed with a buyer who used Paypal as oppose to ebay to address concerns. It quite complex and a complete obvious fraud on the buyers part. Once the claim was escalated, i had only 3 options, none which helped me. I am now taking the buyer to civil court to recover funds lost from Paypal.

  • cabgt > ".. used Paypal as opposed to ebay to address concerns .. obvious fraud .."

Both eBay and PayPal are one in the same - owned by the same corporation (eBay Inc). Further, eBay requires buyers using PayPal to address disputes through PayPal (the financial institution), just as customers using checks or credit cards elsewhere address disputes through their financial institutions or credit card companies. Thus, nothing fraudulent in your buyer using PayPal to address concerns.

  • cabgt > ".. court to recover funds lost from Paypal .."

PayPal's dispute resolution process is there to benefit both seller and buyer, with both having a say and both encouraged to seek a solution. Once dispute escalates to a claim or time expires without resolution, PayPal steps in to settle the matter - usually, based on current consumer protection laws, in favor of buyer absent obvious fraud. If you disagree, your recourse (just like any other seller) is civil litigation against buyer.

  • can you use visa on ebay reply please

  • Thanks. Thats good advice, except, the problem is that Ebay forces some sales (Non-Merchant accounts, I think) to be payable via Paypal only. I am really shocked every time I recall that Paypal is not regulated by anybody or government and banking organisation. And some of the experiences I have read about are enough to make someone go out and hunt down the owners of this money sucking organisation.

  • Hopefully moneybookers will be better!

  • I agree, I just got shammed by a buyer on ebay.

  • Paypal fucks over sellers. Instantly freezing money from my seller account because people are too god damned stupid to check a tracking number or reading the slip in their mail saying they need to pick the item up from the post office, taking many days to resolve and unfreeze the money.

Seller protection my ass. After this mess gets cleared up I'm disconnecting it from my bank and never using it again.

Oh how fucking funny is it that there is a sponsored paypal add next to this video.

  • You too? I come home from vacation to discover a

recent buyer opened a dispute in my absence and

actually won it because I wasn't there, the most

ridiculous thing however is the fact that its sitting

unclaimed at the buyers P.O and its been there for

nearly a month but the buyers to stupid to go get

    the damn thing.

  • @Samc023 I was on holiday same thing happened. Its now a huge saga and im out of pocket $800 grrr

  • I just tried to offer a eBay seller a USPS Money Order for payment and the STUPID MOTHERFUCKER said no because he didn't feel safe taking a USPS M.O. LMFAO! DUMB FUCK TRUTH IS a USPS M.O. is the ONLY way your money is insured once it crosses state lines be it paper or electronically. Paypal has NO more legal authority to go after ANYONE than YOU OR I! Again USPS M.O. is the ONLY way your money is protected. I can't believe eBay has tricked so many people! FOOLS! PAYPAL IS A SCAM! USER BEWARE!!!

  • Are there any other payment options, beside Paypal, which are simple enough for *every buyer to use?

  • I agree 100% with you paypal is a company that helps buyer scam sellers. I only accept creidt cards on my ebay account. I have heard stories about paypal that is just crazy. I accept creidt cards through my merchant account. Screw PAYPAL!!!!!!

  • its like youtube, you complain about copy write and they remove it no questions asked. Even if it aint a real copyright issue.

  • Why dont you try Paymate...They are so much better than PayPal. They are looking out for the seller...

  • u should hv subtitle..

  • Will Paypal overdraw your account, in order to satisfy a remorseful buyer?

You might keep the balance at zero.

  • Yes they will overdraw your paypal account but not any accounts you have attached to your paypal account

  • maybe not anymore, but about 6 years ago my account info was stolen to buy three expensive items and they put my bank account to -$400

  • Been there. You have to have paypal to sell though.

  • The problem is now You HAVE TO OFFER PAY PAL as a payment option if selling. Maybe this is just on the Australian site?? It sux

  • What can us bidders do when most of the sellers of our category (films) only take PayPal? It seems lame for them to have a PayPal only on thier auctions, since a low priced item they still have to pay PayPal a fee on the $ I send them thru the PayPal system.

PayPal must make tons of $ on interest between the time money is sent and when it gets cashed out.

  • PayPal are mother fuckers- don't use paypal,

    COCKSUCKERS only want your money!!!

  • Im brand new to ebay and paypal, about a month and i got quickly addicted. We dont get alot of products up here in Canada but we get the commercials. ive received almost all items from the U.K. and U.S. but the most expensive product, $225 Candian, hasn't come and the seller won't answer my emails. i paid $20 ontop of that for shipping. What do Ido?

  • email pay pal and ebay with what happened...

  • I am seeing videos like this ,from people who use

Ebay. All of you are puting paypal down with out offering another solution.....????

Every sad experience has big gains. But for the sake, offer one of you another solution instead of bitching about paypal.
