  • What they don't tell you is that after all that work, the cat suffocated in the bag and the kitty drinking water was a body double...........Just kidding, 3 cheers for the rescuer's and cat lovers everywhere.

  • Hmmm, I wonder if the same effort would be made to give a homeless person a meal.

  • I'm baffled. Seriously baffled.

Why did it take THREE DAYS before someone tried to climb the tree? Why didn't someone get a ladder? Or call the Fire Brigade? Or use that big piece of wood to bend the branch (branches do that you know?) down far enough to reach the cat from the ground?

  • @BobfishAlmighty FDNY firefighters were there.

  • This crazy cat! Why was she in the tree in Brooklyn? I love cats but I don't understand why some cats get stuck in trees.

  • This is soo awesome! The 3rd try always works!

  • Wonderful rescue!

Thanks in the name of the cat!

What about rescuing a chicken, a pig or a cow by not eating it?

  • Awesome. Wish everyone was this kind. Poor kitty, and sooo so lucky it was rescued by caring people.

  • What a relief to see the cat put down from the tree safely though still meowing so hard, then drank the water (greedily) for three days been stranded no water no food... I'm so relieved...

  • should have put a box on the end of the board.....

  • To the men of Youtube: If you want to pick up the ladies, rescue a cat from a tree. Compassion is the biggest aphrodisiac.

These men are awesome. I love 'em all. <3

  • @clyhiz That's funny!

  • That idiot just destroyed that tree. Any decent arborist could do that without wearing gaffes.

  • @mmsun44 But, er, he saved a cat. Cat > Tree.

  • @Rayningstorms I climbed trees for many years and rescued multiple cats without using spikes. There's no need to do it. Besides, do you know whose tree it is? The guy just ran up someone's tree with spike and totally screwed it up. He's a hack.

  • @Rayningstorms @Rayningstorms I climbed trees for many years and rescued multiple cats without using spikes. There's no need to do it. Besides, do you know whose tree it is? The guy just ran up someone's tree with spike and totally screwed it up. He's a hack using outdated gear.

  • @mmsun44 What, you heard the tree complain...or say "ouch get your spikes out of me?" I'm all for saving the trees, but the cat can't live off of bark and leaves.

  • @AsileeDotCom nice wise ass reply but try reading up on trees a little and see what you find about climbing them like that. I've done what this guy did a dozen times with no spikes on my boots.

  • @mmsun44 Man, you about as smart as a bag of shit on fire. I feel sorry for you bro.

  • @AsileeDotCom intelligent.

  • hah, dont make me laugh. that tree isnt hard to climb, i would have saved that kitteh in a minute and not three fucking days. no safety shit needed.

  • I wanna do this for a living.

  • To the one person that disliked this video, you have no heart or any love of animals.

  • 1:07- poor thing was panting!!! So scared :( Such a pretty kitty, too!

  • As an animal advocate that volunteers at a no-kill cat shelter and often sees neglected cats come in, it helps heal my heart to see all those beautiful people helping Cat. God Bless All of You Involved! M.Y.

  • Thank you so much for saving the kitteh

  • Thank goodness for all those caring people. A very lucky kitty.

  • Poor cat was so thirsty!! For the idots posting hateful comments ~ gets your a** up in a tree and try laying there for 3 days and nights! No water, no shelter, no food! You have no compassion for anything living. You are pathetic!!

  • Nice video. I bet that cat will be back up a tree again soon.

  • Писец, они тупые. Залезть на дерево и снять кошака за 10 минут — это для америкосов свехзадача. Нет, млять, надо вызвать туеву хучу специалистов и да ещё строить всякие приспособления.

  • I'm happy the cat got saved, but really!? A small army of on-the-clock rescue workers trying miserably to save it for what seems like hours.. do they really need that many people for such a job? Step 1: get any healthy kid or agile adult, Step 2: send him up the tree, Step 3: profit..! At least they could have taken turns trying to save it.. it's not like it helps that 4-5 people are standing there, staring at the cat.

  • But what finally happened to the cat? People want to know! Kudos to all the big hearted New Yorkers who tried to figure out a way to get it down, and to the guy who finally succeeded! It was so nice to see the cat lapping up water. I was getting thirsty just watching him up there!

  • Beautiful cat and well done NY'ers for continuing to try until finding a way of bringing him (or her) down. :-)

  • Poor kitteh ;(

Love ya Mr.Mexican looking cat -savior :P

  • silly cat. >>;;

It was heartwarming to see them make the effort and save the little fellaw though.

Anyone who abandone any pet should be shot. That's just cruel to expect a housed pet will be able to survive on there own.

  • "umm.. I heared a lot of mooing yesterday afternoon in the backyard..."

  • @ozarkalfa

mew /myo͞o/- (of a cat or some kinds of bird) To make a characteristic high-pitched crying noise

    Synonyms: miaow, meow, caterwaul, waul

  • I cried as well... so glad the cat was saved!

  • i started crying even though i knew they rescued the cat.

  • Ahhh! So cute!

  • aww, so glad the cat was saved, I hope he has or found a good home. Beautiful markings, wow.
