SoFF does have a point. These chants tend to sound weak and watered down when done in the studio. However, they are incredibly intense and primal and beautiful when done at pagan festival drum circles and similar settings and really are effective for going into an altered state, etc. The chants lose that folky new age feel they have here and become very primal and powerful.
