This design allows the screens to be folded up and stowed away easily. Strip magnets will crack after a while. The Skeeter Beater uses composite magnets that won't break or crack. Pull them tight all the way around so they lie flat on the window frame and bugs won't get in underneath.

Wouldn't it keep bugs out better if it was a complete seal around the border of the window? I see big gaps between the small round magnets where bugs could get underneath.
