When a government becomes destructive to the means of the people to elect their leaders from the people, then It is the DUTY of the people to replace that government. That is the third line in the declaration of Independence. And since the electoral votes, and not the popular vote, decides who is elected, We have lost our right to vote!

Why shouldn't working people own their own home. Are you seriously suggesting that buying a home on a mortgage makes you a slave? Who then is supposed to speak out in favour of working people? Certainly not New Labour or the Tory party. Just because someone is of a wealthy background doesn't mean they can't speak out. So you were there? I was, I must say I remember things a little differently. The country was much worse during the 80's - except for the minority of course. The only thing that kept the balance of payments then were the oil receipts. For my family, most of my friends, their living standards dropped from the 70's. Now they work 2X times as long for less money, if they still have a job. Unlike their Executives of course. In the 70's it was a lot easier to get work, I know I did
