Some fans bitch about how this looks more like MW2 instead of the first Terminator. What they don't know is that the year setting in this movie is 2018. Not 2029-2032. 2018 is not that far in the future really. Yes it looks like Fallout or MW2 but there's two things I think they'll change: 1, They were going for a more realistic look but people didn't like it (Yet they play games that have that. F*cking hypocrites.) So now they might change it. 2, T5 will probably look more like the old movies.

Even though I though they should have ended the series after T2. this movies was not that bad. The problem is that the post-apoclyptic world did not really feel scary in terms of the terror from the machines. I wish the movie had a short video of the development of skynet while the humans were unaware.

Arnold wasn't built off of Marcus... Marcus was supposed to infiltrate and identify Connor and Reese. He had nothing to do with the development of the T-800.

And Connor was just downright ignorant. Talked down to everyone, always had to feel superior and shit. It was kinda obvious and "in your face" that Wright didn't want to kill anyone. He didn't even know who Kyle Reese was.

@ganondorf59 In my opinion, T3 was the derailing of the series for me. T3 also had horrible plot holes, terrible acting, abysmal logic, and incredibly stupid one-liners that made Arnold look like the generic action hero with a line to back him up. The movie felt as if it was there to just completely terminate the series, and in truth, it WAS. T3 writer John Brancato's blogspot says it all. T3 was a big-budget attempt at franchise assassination. At least T4 tried, yet still fell hard.

You could count T3 out and it would still completely make sence, and really T3 wasnt so bad, worst of the series, but not sooo bad.

T1 & T2 are the only movies, T2 ended the series, Judgment Day was stopped.

Two reasons why 3 and Salvation shouldn't be accepted, because Kyle Reese said "There is no fate but what we make for ourselves" and the Terminator gave it's life to stop Judgment Day, and all be damned to say Kyle was wrong and that the Terminator gave it's life for nothing.

You want to know the truth, I actually loved Terminator Salvation, I loved Christian Bale as John Connor, Sam Worthington was terrific as Marcus, the story was fantastic, I loved the new Terminators and I like how it broke the pattern of robots coming from the future and chasing someone.

But it has two flaws: 1, it connects with 3 which I don't like and 2, it didn't match the war scenes from Terminator 1 and 2. They fought at night NOT THE DAY.

Yes they did. In The Terminator, Kyle Reese said "You stay down by day, but at night you can move around, still got to be careful cause the HKs use infrared." Then in this Young Kyle said you move during the day and not the night. Watch the movies.

Obviously I enjoyed the first one a lot because I saw it in the theatres when it first came out, and then the sequel, which I also saw in the theatres was also very well done.

Then the third one, well...

This one was better than T3 though.

It is a bit like the Alien movies, expect that the third one in that series was palatable, but the fourth one was an abomination.

Actually I thought of this. In the first movie Kyle Reese fathered John Connor, but technically Connor existed beforehand already, so I guess he would still exist but with a different father. That is the only thing I could think of since he already existed beforehand.

Nothing would happen. Technically, John doesn't even need to send Kyle back in time. The Kyle Reese that protected his mother was from another timeline that no longer exists. Every time someone travels through time, the future is altered permanently.

Skynet knows about Kyle because it received an upload from the TX in T3.

But the reason Skynet probably didn't do this by killing Kyle was because it didn't want to cause a time paradox and start all over again. I mean it would be easier just to kill Connor now instead of killing Kyle now and starting all over again.

The only reason Skynet did this in the other movies was because Connor destroyed it in the future like Kyle said in T1, "Skynet's defense grid was smashed, we'd won, taking out Connor then wouldn't make a difference."

Skynet probably wanted to kill Connor while it was still in power before Connor won the war that way it didn't have to reset the future and start over again.

But that's just me, if you don't agree that's cool.

The T-600 use less statedgy and more brute force because they are an early model and less advanced then the T-800 or T-101.

If you notice though they are more like drones using only brute force to take people out. This would work well at start to wipe out mankind, but after awhile only the strong and smart people have survived, that is when you switch out your drones for a more strategic hunter.
