  • can someone tell if the front axle can move directly up or down or is it like a tractors where it has a central pivot to let it articulate

  • Yes, like a tractor but with a leaf spring between the pivot and the axle to allow some vertical movement.

  • Having owned an explorer, I have one thing to say, NEVER AGAIN. Greasing the props every 50 miles, etc blah...... No thanks. Have met up with my old girl, and I must admit it was a bit tearfull, but like I say NEVER AGAIN.

  • awesome stuff! that suspension setup was just unstoppable! does anyone know about the Scammell Prospector?- it was the name given to the Pioneers that had a driven front axle, making them the 6x6 predecessors to the explorers.
