I was head over heels in love with a woman when this song came out. She was a fantastic kisser too, and her breath was always sweet. Oh I left out nu-metal as the other flavor I despise. So the running tally is nu-metal/emo/deathcore/metalco­re. Other than that and anything else commercially shoved down the masses' throats in the present- I like alot of bands ;)

I love the romanticism and innocence present in this song and everywhere else in the 80's music and tv. Nowhere to be found today with all the vulgar, degrading, dumb trendy dumb music and tv. I have been dreaming of ways to go back to the 80's and never come back to this shallow existence. One of these days I will.

@otishaywater I listen to plenty of post 80's music. But most is punk, death, and black metal. Made the mistake of associating bands that play deathcore/metal core as being what they emulate but found out there is a huge difference from them and the real deal. I can live without emo/deathcore/metal core and the radio is definitely the disappearing shell of its former self. I used to be able to listen to it but from mid 90's and later it turned to shit.

This may be 80'sesque but it is still a definite ode to 60's psychedelia. Check out the colors, etc they did on this song for their live version back in '88 I think. It's on youtube. Excellent live recording. But this song doesn't rub me in anyway toward what came later as far as 'alternative' or 'post punk'. It was imply poppy psychedelia and one of my favorite songs. Perfect song to get stoned, make love, or do whatever floats your boat.
