  • Thanks.

    Good point.

  • I think its a very good trained dog. Perhaps it would be better if you dont wear your glasses because the dog can't see your eyes... Its a very lovely dog!

  • Golly, I can't find anything by you under police K9 or your name. Perhaps something is there and I missed it. Perhaps you are full of it. Recall however, you started this interchange with your immature comment. So don't be surprised or be overly sensitive if some people aren't willing to take garbage talk off you.

  • this is why stupid people shouldn't be allowed to own dogs

  • @jonesqesquire

Please attach a video of you and your dog doing obedience, protection or agility work. Either that or ... shut the hell up.

Sorry, I'm a little tired just now ... of jackasses.

  • @badolan

look you posted this on youtube for everyone to see and then comment on, so you are subject to scrutiny. If you can't handle it then don't post anything. I honestly don't need to prove that im a better trainer/decoy than you. My videos are on youtube, just type in police k9 and your bound to see my stuff... ass

  • Dogs need to be obedient to follow commands... especially off leash in an agility course.

  • thanx for the advice man!, keep the good work with your dogs.

  • I'd recommend a game breed Pit Bull. Play tug with them as a puppy (not roughly) and they will quickly get the idea. Teach them to "drop it" and you're halfway there. Pit Bulls really aren't the best dogs for protection training. You'd be better off with a German Shepherd or a Belgium Shepherd. I like the Blue Pits too but Blues are not generally accepted in hard core Pit Bull circles. It is not a traditional color. You might want to get a trainer or read several books on protection training.

  • The Blue color is a "merle" effect. That means a genetic defect which can cause serious health problems.

Real good breeders dont breed blue dogs.

  • Pitbull breeders shouldn't breed for blue anyways, as it isn't part of the standard and is an undesirable trait. If a pitbull or staffy is blue it is disqualified from shows.

  • how you can train a dog, lets say u r in the street and someone assaults you, how can u get the dog to protect you, meaning biting the robber at your command???, i done have any dogs, i just want to know how can you train a protection dog, for when i get my own, and i want a blue pit :D, pits are awesome.

  • Pits are not guard dogs

You should NOT even attempt this at all unless you find an experienced trainer, try to find a schutzhund club in your area

If you want a good guard dog get a Doberman, Rottweiler, or German Shepherd, Pitbulls were not bred to guard, and are usually very nice to people, when properly raised, which you should know if you researched them

  • i totally agree

  • honestly pits will use their best judgement if they see you are in duress from someone else they will protect you naturally, i think they can sense fear perfectly.

  • Thats agility...not obedience
