this doesn't mean anything. It's just a natural process that was enhanced due to waves hitting Antarctic sea ice.

Ice that breaks off ice sheets and ice shelfs doesn't rise ocean levels as it's already a floating mass in the water.

@1GTX1 By 'natural process' I meant just a process that occurs 'natually' in the environment. For example there is the natural process of how mountains and land is formed.

@VideoFromSpace I'm not sure what you refering to (sheet of shelf) but If you're talking about the entire ice sheet melting then yes we're screwed. If you just meant floating Ice Bergs melting, then that won't change the ocean level as it's already 'in the water'.

When Ice Shelves break off from ice sheets, the media always makes a big deal about it even though it's not.

However, I did find the earthquake, waves thing interesting :D
