  • That... is scary awesome. Girl freaking dead lifts more than me and it looked pretty good for the most part. Don't agree with sumo stance but God damn!

  • STEROIDS?? i think so

  • @MsSucka No steroids. I lift in the ADFPF "American DRUG FREE Powerlifting Federation" and I was tested at worlds last year.

  • @MsSucka Just because you can't lift it doesn't mean she can't, and you don't have to accuse her of STEROID use.

  • @AndyHarglesis can nobody see that i was being sarcastic? she's lifting as if she is on juice but doesnt look like it at all. btw i can hit that easy

  • @MsSucka All in your dreams. ;)

    Sure, why not? lol.

  • @MsSucka Sorry dude I thought you were calling me a roid user. Sarcasm doesn't come across that well on the internet.

  • That's one awkward kitchen.

  • ... wow more then me

  • whats with this gay sumo form why dont people do normal deadlifts anymore?

  • Man, it's easy to forget just how much weight this is when you see it lifted by such a young girl.

  • to much weight for her age

  • that is incredible but 16 yo kids really shouldn't do max lifts no matter if girls or boys. at this age many are still growing and growth plates are not closed yet.

The fact that there is a state record for 16 yo kids is very irresponsible by the federations.

still an awesome lift but I wished those kids would start maxing out later. sorry for being a nagger but I think that has to be said. not her fault though she is amazingly dedicated, I wish more kids would be like that.

  • @dominikkeul Deadlifts, perhaps, but seriously, teens arn't as fragile as you think, if you are a elite athelete, and or juicing, maybe, but its no different from picking a friend up, or carrying a heavy log.

  • @dominikkeul there are plenty of lifters who started max lifts beforehand. Weight training will not harm growth plates if it is done safely and with good form. What people should be worried about are kids NOT doing maximal lifting, especially if they are playing in contact sports. 8 year old kids playing football are running into each other at full speed when they usually don't have a shred of muscle and have mushy, unhardened bones. THAT will damage growth plates.

  • @feces88 i used to lift for 4 years and i think that you are right in a way but i think that lifting at an age of 8 it is unhealthy specially if they are doing it for MAX lifts.

  • @dominikkeul

17 year old Zoe Smith will be olympic weightlifting for GB in 2012.

    Umadbro?

  • @dominikkeul Playing contact sports is probably more dangerous than lifting weights, unless your doing squats on a bosu ball.

  • thats casey anthony

  • I have Marian Bosma as my friend on Facebook. :/

  • This is very impressive, I'm a male and have yet to reach this weight at 180lb BW.

But I'm not as impressed by the "triple BW" lifts etc etc

While bigger people are stronger, it's much easier to lift your bodyweight when you're lighter.

The Olympic weightlifting records have proven that.

My son can squat his bodyweight and he's 6 years old and he doesn't lift weights, I had to lift for one and a half years to achieve the same feat.

  • its funny, im a fat kid who rarely works out and I can deadlift 335 no problem.

  • @charvelman15 What dream was that in?

  • back arching on bench press and deadlift actually is used by some powerlifters as it can be a stronger lift but there is a greater risk of injury.

  • These girls gotta stop making me look bad

  • @xDarkBilly13 Girls are equal.

You mean these "people" need to.

Don't put gender as a front for your every faults.

  • @AndyHarglesis It's a joke mane

  • @xDarkBilly13 It's not funny.

  • @AndyHarglesis Fuck off then

  • @xDarkBilly13 No.

  • pause at 10 seconds. fuck man....

  • Dont mean to sound like a critic but did your lower back round a bit in this lift? its hard to tell from the camera angle. I use to have this problem a couple years ago and it didnt end well for me :) just a precaution

  • nice weight. im waiting for her spine to rip out of her back. but nice. weight. yes i am aware it is a sumo dead lift. and no that does not give an excuse to arching the back like the McDonalds M. But still a beast for getting it up there.

  • Does this help her cook faster in the kitchen?

  • @phantumgrey It helps her kick your ass TWICE as hard as she would have to begin with. ;)

  • @phantumgrey LMAO

  • ouch my back! she should really consider not deadlifting sumo style, it puts alot of un-needed wear and tear on the muscles of the lower back

  • @slimbw93 actually, you are wrong, sumo puts WAY less stress one the lower back.

  • @skata123456789456123 are you dumb!? sumo completely eliminates the legs from the lift sumo makes it ALL lower back!

  • @slimbw93 go to elitefts, educate yourself on the subject, come back here and say you are sorry

  • and since I cant post a link here, search for the article "10 tips for sumo deadlifting"

  • @skata123456789456123 i did and every single one says that it only works the lower back hence WAY MORE stress on the lower back especially when done incorrectly like the one in this video, also i happen to be going to school for physical therapy and i know a hell of alot about back injuries...and btw, your a fucking idiot lol you just made me look up articles that prove my point

  • @slimbw93 ok so, you are either trolling, or you suck at understanding English. Point 3, in the article I told you, by Brian Schwab: "One of the benefits of performing deadlifts with a sumo stance is that there is less flexion and strain on the lower back". Now, you is an idiot? And this girl in the video, pulls without her lower back being arched. Sure, it asks for injury, but either sumo or conventional, without arched lower back, is an injury maker.

  • @slimbw93 And since your are going to become a PT, i feel sorry for you poor patients...

  • @skata123456789456123 say what you want but i already know tons of people who got hurt sumo deadlifting, if u wanna keep on doing it, im sure you can put up more weight sumo but its a much more dangerous and overly strenuous style

  • @slimbw93 you can get injured both ways, if you are doing it wrong. a properly executed sumo, has far less strain on your lower back FACT. Also, it beats up your hips really fat. FACT. Also, it has 14% less ROM. But, if it was so easy, why the best sumo pull is about 900 and the best conventional is 1015? Sumo isnt easier, its just different.

  • @skata123456789456123 more people train conventional because it is less dangerous, and if it has 14 % less ROM that means its easier, but even if it isnt easier why would you train it if you cant pull as much weight? it puts far more stress on the lower back because if takes the legs out of the lift it makes the lift all lower back and the reason you feel it in you legs is because your stretching them against the weight, its the same basic principal as a straight leg dl, learn your anatomy

  • @slimbw93 OMFG....

  • @skata123456789456123 slimbw is right, conventional is better for overall strength. It distributed the load evenly through the legs and the back and keeps you from gaining a strong back without strong hamstrings. The greater the range of motion, the more muscles used and so the more beneficial it is. Dont be lazy and go for a shorter ROM. Same idea applies to partial vs full squats. Use more compound exercises to become balanced in your strength.

  • @PKnSTUFF a powerlifter does not care none of what you says, the only thing that matters is lifting as much weight as possible within the rules of the federation one competes in.

  • @slimbw93 shhhhhh

  • @1suzukidealer Sexist.

  • I have Marian Bosma as my friend on Facebook. :/

  • dem weight is lovely but that form is sad

  • this is so simple for weight lifting videos and you still get these idiotic comments, if her form was as horrible as you make it sound, with her weighing so little, and the weight shes deadlifting so high, she would get injured, was she? no. therefore form=fine

  • It's a powerlifting competition, i.e. 1RMs. Form won't always be textbook.

  • GREAT JOB

  • for a girl thta fucking crazy

  • @shadowvowed187 Sexist.

  • are u fucking dumb ??first girls dont have as much testosterone as men , second to reach a 3 plate lift requires a lot of food and training , just use ur brain , who gave her soo much food ??? how much could she trained for 3x bodyweight (2x is hard enough) . its simple . the average man needs a reasonable time of training to do this , and this little bitch does it ?? ofc there are elite with 1000lbs deadlift but thats decades of training , so what the fuck wrong with her?

  • lot of weight, but seriously for your own safety work on that form before you slap on a belt.

  • I'd fuck that bitch... lol

  • i know it's alot of weight for a girl and for that bodyweight, BUT............ i swear to god, my lower back actually hurt while watching this........ not a joke............. i felt a lower back spasm like if i lose my form on the last rep of a DL set

  • thats impressive

  • Great lifting well done.

  • Looked like a good lift to me. Honestly, you don't see many women perform true powerlifting movements in gyms too often. For instance, there isn't a single woman at my gym that could pull #225, much less #325. Keep up the good work!

  • sure are a lot of fat retard noobs in this thread complaining about people complaining about form. IT doesn't really matter if it's 3x or 5x or if you think it's a really great lift for her weight/age/gender. Bad form is unsafe and you guys are all retard stupid shits for being upset about people pointing out her unsafe form.

  • eww

  • It's a competition, you use whatever form you have to to move the weight from point A to point B. Not saying its safe, just sayin, you do what you gotta do. Good lift, girl.

  • sumo deadlift.. meh. her feet are almost touching the plates!

  • Good form! Light weight. good vid. : D

  • that girl is a beast. i havnt seen a girl your age that can even pick up one plate

  • hmmm.... STILL waiting for a Video Response of a triple body weight Deadlift by even one of the many, many form critics...

  • @FLEXFitnessCenter

Hey for something that looked easy for here... You should join Cornhuskers state games and compete in the powerlifting meet and from that can that be guy/girl?

  • @FLEXFitnessCenter i'm pretty close to triple body weight, i weigh 162 and i pulled 462 with perfect from, the video is on my channel

  • @FLEXFitnessCenter god ur cute good job btw

  • @FLEXFitnessCenter It's a tremendous accomplishment and looked easy as hell, but that doesn't mean her back wasn't rounding out to such an extent that the weakness should have been identified and fixed well in advance of this lift.

  • @FLEXFitnessCenter Don't let the haters get to you, your a very strong young lady :)

  • i know everyone has commented on the form and how ull do that with ur "true" max. it wont be ur real max when u injure urself. lift right or pay the consequences.

  • is this real life?

  • @churde ...Yes, it is.

  • If the form is good, it's not your max.

  • Cute strong girls are what make the world go 'round. :D

  • @AndyHarglesis how is my comment sexism? please explain fully........ as my comment was this is an impressive and awsome dead lift for sumone of this age and to be a girl so i ask how is this sexism? simply commenting on her impressive dead lift if you dont like what i have to say andy i suggest you come back with a better response then you already have, and on another note what do you think i need ? you clearly are a complete idiot

  • @Griffin19821 Wrong....You ARE a sexist.

Either you understand it or you fail.

  • bad lift u need to straiten your back

  • @Ben85paintball It's awesome for either gender you scumbag......

Crawl back in to your whole before society eats you up, sexist failure.....

  • LMAO 3 PLAETS !!!!!ONE11!!!!

  • Terrible form, gonna hurt ur back, keep back arched and use legs more

  • For someone of this age and to be a girl this is pretty inpressive and an awsome deadlift, keep it up.... =)

  • @Griffin19821 Sexism.

  • @Griffin19821 You need your mind to be set straight and to end any sexist thoughts your thought train may consist of....

Join my community group, factions and peoples' groups on equality for boys and girls, males and females...

    You clearly need it.

  • @Ben85paintball Yeah, I know. You are right though, sadly. I also saw this scrawny lookin' guy down at the gym hitting 800lb in a warm up.

    Men are behemoths. lmao

  • @Ben85paintball Okay, whatever. Believe what you want. You won't have a good place in the future though.

  • @Ben85paintball Sure, and neither is a 300lb bench or squat.

  • Also, who cares how wide the stance was? Bottom line is that it's over 300lbs being lifted and regardless of gender lifting over 300lbs is what I'd call strong. So yeah if you can lift 300+lbs you're strong. Nothing can change that fact. :)

And she uses good form too. Like in the bench she did it way better than most others would at their near 1RPM.

  • And just so every one knows....Stop comparing. Average men can not even lift half of this weight with good stance and form. Even a male who works out will still not be able to reach that lift for at least a year on average and likely longer. We're not talking genetic super freaks here and steriod users we're talking AVERAGE.

I congratulate her for showing that females CAN lift heavy weights and shutting up the mouths of all these sexist, macho males and even females who think lesser as well.

  • @Ben85paintball Let's see a male do some bent over rows of 325lbs. It doesn't happen any where close to being common. And a 300lb bench press is easily more attainable by males but females have reached that naturally.

Get YOUR facts straight. And I didn't mean they can do equivalent in just weight lifting I meant in every thing.

But yeah you do have a small point there about males reaching heavier weight and that is a fact. Not always, but do you have to try so hard to make females look bad?

  • @Ben85paintball Yeah that's a sumo deadlift, powerlifters usually do that so they can pull more weight

  • @MrYeahwee Agree. Lots of females think too lesser of their bodie's limits and function. They can do every thing a male can and do it as well.

  • Sounds right - it's hard to guess someone's weight from a video.

  • Looks like close to triple BW to me. Those are three plates on a side, aren't they?

  • @NoSnoozeBlues 325 lb., maybe 2.5X???

  • I'd like to see some Video Responses of double body weight or so Deadlifts from our many "form" critics please... start posting, let's see em!

  • @FLEXFitnessCenter Lol! what u just said actually sounded cute and childish.. can't accept constructive criticism, can u? :D

hey, a good lift it was.. hats off! I definitely can't do a triple BW, so way to go girl!

  • @FLEXFitnessCenter

    preach it.

  • wow terrrrrible form....

  • Her spine wasn't neutral, it's not good to allow your back to hunch like that whilst under so much stress!

  • not hes not, that form was terrible , but amazing for a chick

  • she made that look easy. But the form can be worked on.

  • Strong as fuck!!! But horrible form.

  • i wouldnt like to be with woman who weight lifts lol....just saying

  • her hands must have a scary strong grip

  • wow great job

  • Form was a little off, but then again, It is pretty heavy for her.

  • Let's see her do that using the Olympic "clean" stance... It's much easier to deadlift doing a romanian deadlift or using a sumo stance etc... Also much higher chance of injury.

  • @Canadarm123 please explain how that is? sumo has a wider stance and use more legs than back to lift the weight, unlike the normal stance that hardest part is lifting the weight off the floor once the weight is lifting it nothing to fully extend

  • @fubu30086 Sumo almost completely uses the lower back to lift the weight. The fact that the legs are already in a wide and near standing position shows that.

If it were an Olympic style lift, the quads and thighs kick in to lift the weight. Here, all she is doing is lifting the weight off using her arms and lower back. Watch exactly at 0:10 seconds to see what I mean.

You may feel the "strain" of the heavy weight in the quads, but the muscle is not worked at all.

  • Comment removed

  • @Canadarm123 If your opinion about sumo being all back is based on my deadlift form then its not credible. I do not have good form for a sumo deadlifter. I have had knee sugery on both knees and after almost two years of babying my legs they are very weak and my back takes over for my legs. If you want to see a real sumo deadlift watch Irina Kashuba, then you will see that it is all in the legs. Also if you watch Louise Fox deadlift in a traditional style you will see alot of bend in her back.

  • @Rose3620 I never criticized your form at all... I said that the form you use for your deadlift in the video uses almost all lower back, as opposed to olympic or conventional deadlifts which require the legs almost as much, if not more, than lower back.

I have seen Irina and she does very good lifts.

  • @Canadarm123 I never thought you were criticising my lift, and even if you were I wouldn't have cared. I kinda like criticism if its constructive. I just didn't want you to look at my lift and think that's how a good sumo deadlift should look cause it's not. I lift with my back because of my knees not because of the sumo stance. Which, incidentally, I need to go in for more surgey on my knees in two days.

Irina is amazing isn't she! :)

  • @Canadarm123 i see what your saying she does use alot of her arms and lower back to lift the weight. i was just stating that sumo style has less of a impact on the lower back then conventional deadlifts. Lot has to do with how flexible the person is and abotu core strength

  • typical powerlifters...

  • Awesome!

  • nice lift...was there a bit too much bend in the back or am i being too critical

  • @sjjdiienno1 You're being too critical... :-)

  • @FLEXFitnessCenter haha my bad

  • @FLEXFitnessCenter no ure not there was really a little bit too much bend !

  • @FLEXFitnessCenter There is nothing wrong with critiqueing someone! I hate it when youtube people have to play this eye for an eye shit like... "well why don't you post something blah blah blah." We aren't fucking measuring dicks here. In terms of an analogy if a movie critic gives a bad review is it the directors job to bitch saying "well why don't you make a better movie" or do they learn from the advice (rhetorical question)? And yes her back was arched too much but still agreataccomplishment

  • @sjjdiienno1 I would have 2 say there was abit much bend in the back in the start...but she fixed up! Alot of deadlifts start this way i wold still work for the better but nothing out of the norm

  • @sjjdiienno1 no you're not. She can manage for now but eventually it'll catch up and maybe hurt her. Seen it before and it hurts like hell and leaves a permanewnt mark

  • @sjjdiienno1 i doesnt matter she did it

  • @sjjdiienno1 actually i agree

  • @sjjdiienno1 way too critical. a) this is a young little girl b) shes lifting close to 3 times her bodyweight c) this is a young little girl

  • impressive, but why are you using such a retarded stance?

  • @ratamacue14 its called sumo stance idiot.

  • WOW! I'm a male coach at a high school and I can barely deadlift 300lbs! amazing teen girl!!!

  • @MrCoachdave you can barely deadlift 300? god you are a pussy

  • Wow! She lifted 325 lbs quite easily. How much does she weigh?

  • Stellar job!!!!
