  • T..T such good acting

  • Great job. This could have turned into a very melodramatic "amnesia story," but you structured the turn in an understated way that makes the whole thing work. Great acting helps pull it off too. Try not to let the negative feedback get to you, some people can't lose gracefully.

  • Love this short. I think Rheem does a great job of portraying her character, a girl who recognizes someone from before her accident but is unable to place where she knows him from. Too bad there's so many idiots who don't get it and feel the need to rag on this film. As Nblonkenfeld said before he took off his comment, we're all students and we should all be happy about each other's successes. Not a bunch of whiny babies.

  • Hey guys i was wondering who do u think should be the villain in the next batman movie cuz its going to be hard to top the last one im still deciding between cate blachett and bai ling for the role of poison ivy you know how some people say philip seymour hoffman is going to be the penguin well i disagree and think bill murray as the riddler could be good

  • Sure it was patient, but the dialogue was garbage. She's optimistic about seeing him, then realizes who he is?

    She's got amnesia right?

Nice way to build drama by destroying the entire plot.

  • I've watch this a dozen times, and uh, I think the frames are awesome. Sam's music held the film together nicely. The key strength to this film is that it didn't rush.

  • Good performance piece. I'm glad you guys got the nom and win. Solid acting is almost always a rare occurrence at CMF, particularly at the school level. Bravo.

  • All, yo H8ERS out their, but THIS movie FUCKING deserved this shit bitch you just dont get it but I do get it. If your not intrallectual you'll WANTED a holywood ending. The main proganist duh is replaced by the one from the car. Everything changes, 4 the BETTER, and thats how this movie rox… DUMBASS. I know what im talkin about cause im a critick and I go t school for this.

P.S. HQ movies like this are good.

  • hey Mr. Movie Critic with a k...what's a proganist? Is that like a protagonist that was spelled completely wrong just like every other word in this comment that you left?

    Thought so...

Rheem did an awesome job in this!

  • Whoa, I'm not experienced enough to bash a "CRITICK". But this attempt to be a 'first truth' movie, I'm sure you'd know what that is "muvy cRiTck," failed. His motivation to keep coming back over and over again makes him happy? His even says he misses her. See, in reality (not hollywood), a REAL PERSON would try to get her back. Whether start a new or help her remember the past. A weak protagonist = a weak story.

PS: Please let me know what magazine/internet site you "critickque" for.

  • It's "The Intrallectual Critick," began in chat rooms as a short form of critickquing movies. Apparently their rating system is based on if it can be shown in HQ. Since all the movies were shot in HD therefore all movies should be 'good.' But their system is obviously flawed like the judging system.

-Taken from the most reliable source online, Wikipedia.

  • How is he a weak person? He puts aside what he wants in order to preserve her happiness; I would call that a strength, to overcome one's own selfish desires.

And he doesn't keep coming back over and over, this scene is the first time he's come, which is why she doesn't quite recognize him. I think you need to watch it again before you start making your own film theories like, "weak protagonist= a weak story." How do you explain the Coen bros. main character in A Good Man?

  • The Coen Brothers are great filmmakers, but maybe that's why we haven't heard their critically acclaimed "A Good Man." Or are you making stuff up?

  • Yeah, I meant "A Serious Man."

  • Well at least you didn't respond with a mere 'thumbs down'.

    I admire that.

Have you ever considered what I MEANT by "weak". Maybe it might means unmotivated or untrue character. A character that doesn't act upon what he wants. And if your argument was correct, how the hell do YOU know that she's more happy without him? Probably wizardry or magic of a sort?

And from watching this, how can you BELIEVE or KNOW that this is the first time? And film theories? Please don't get me started

  • It just seems that everyone saying negative comments on this page is sounding like a bunch of catty bitches who didn't get asked to the prom. It seems like in your defining what makes a successful movie you forget to just enjoy it. If you don't enjoy this movie, it doesn't mean there's a problem with the movie (because there are far more qualified people than you who judged it as Best Drama at SJSU), it means that it's not your taste.

  • Well, before I begin, I'm sorry that you gave up on your argument and responded with nothing relating to our discussion. Since you wanted some constructive criticism here's my say on your ability to defend your passionate points: failure. ;)

You say "because there are far more qualified people than you who judged it as Best Drama at SJSU." Critical-studies students didn't I'm sure, probably not actual critics; I'd bet they weren't qualified at all. Le Glouton Rouge = best picture... hmm...

  • Because of a flawed and political judging system at SJSU, it went from being a competitor to a joke. People will say: no wonder they don't have a REAL film program. That's just what they need right?

FPS, keep pushing the envelope, you guys kick out great work none the less. But find a way to shit on these fucks so hard there can't be a mistake. OH WAIT, you've done that already.

  • By the way, if you really think your judges are even qualified enough - name 'em. "I dare you! I double-dog dare you"

Trivia time, what movie is that from?

"Oh...uhh...since I don't know how what the fuck I'm talking about, I'll just try diverting to another nonsensical argument that I probably can't defend either."

    -HappyRobot's inner monologue.

  • I'm just reminding everyone there's a line between constructive criticism and sounding like a bunch of whiny nitpickers.

  • I did like this movie. I saw all the films from SJSU on youtube and thought this would winn best drama and it did! Thanks for proving me right. I liked the idea. The male lead gave a great performance. Good luck at regionals.

  • This movie constantly broke the line of action for no discernible reason, had horrible audio, and a contrived plot that went nowhere.

Why did you wait until the entire film to introduce the protag's problem? It wasn't interesting, and keeping this information from the audience didn't make the movie suspenseful in the least. Seems like all you had to do to win something at SJSU this year was make something that was either "quirky" or "artsy".

I wish I had amnesia after watching this.

  • This movie rocks! The acting is impeccable and the story and directing are amazing! I want to make love to this director!!!

  • directing was outstanding! Considering the horrible shot choice of crossing the line. (And don't even start trying to tell me it was purposeful.) You call that directing? Motivated actions fail? Your plant, her having amnesia, was great! But please, please learn to make the payoff worth it.
