Despite many kid-friendly aspects of DBZ, there is occasionally some deep shit thrown in there. Think about it, last few survivors of a people obliterated... clinging to your pride, the memory of your people... The journey of Vegita is one of the best stories I've seen in animation. You can honestly believe \ relate to the character based on how he develops over the series which is rare in animation. Goku's story is rather luke warm in comparison...
