  • Sublime Norah Jones , j'adore

  • The goddamned poetry is debilitating in its majesty we bow to thee fair lass.

This shell picker is done. instant 5.

  • a little fast but shes so beautifull...LOVE.....

  • When I first heard this song I was in a MRI testing and this song just soothed my soul as I love the Nightingale and Norah's voice is impeccable. One of my favorite songs now. Blessings to this artist

    Magics

  • I know a girl that looks just like her.

  • @Jaylasplenty lucky her

  • J ADORE

  • amo esta cancion es lo maximo en todo

  • Мне очень нравится как она поет ! Очень красивая песня и исполнитель !

I like this song and this girl !

  • She is soooo goooooood. You know, one of those artists who follow you for the rest of your life!

  • norah u compelete me!

  • Can listen to her all day

  • Norah is a beautiful and enchanting singer. The girl has talent to burn. Thanks so much for posting.

  • Absolutely beautiful.

  • shes so amazing!

  • I love Norah - who doesn't? But man... regardless of what some said... ADAM LEVY on guitar!!! :)

  • I don't find anything 'subtle' about her sexiness. I find it quite overpowering.

    Rock On, Little Princess.

  • Holy shit. I have found musical perfection.

  • it a good song i love it

  • Norah is without question one of the most beautiful human beings on the planet. And I'm not simply talking about her physical person. Her being is splendid.

  • I really like this song on the disc. I think the arrangement of this version was quite poor. Norah was good, but the band was playing another song.

  • @kuladeeluxe totally. the album was recorded with bill frisell, arguably one of the best jazz guitarists of our day. this guitarist doesn't even come close, and the drummer's beat isn't anything like the recording.

  • @brettstakelin Man I disagree with you like crazy. The guitar on the recording is just aimless delay pedal noodling, this guitar work is textured and subtle but still emotional and technically on point. The beat here is much more dramatic as this is live while on the record all the instrumentation serves as mere backdrop to her voice. It's sad when people think that because they can name-drop they actually have any knowledge of what music is about.

  • @turoniner I suppose I should clarify...the guitar solo on the ALBUM is aimless delay pedal noodling, this live guitar performance is full of emotion and power. It really takes you somewhere while the guitar solo on the album doesn't go anywhere.

  • @kuladeeluxe Are you out of your mind? This is right on point! If you understood music at all you'd know that they are all right on. The guitar riff is the exact same and the beat is much more intricate and textured.

  • @turoniner Are you related to the guitarist or went to high school with him? Sorry, but I am sure he is great, but I prefer the original. I find it odd when people challenge you for what moves you. To each his own.

  • @kuladeeluxe What an adorable "comeback." I wasn't "challenging you for what moves you," you said that this arrangement was poor when that is just factually inaccurate. You weren't saying "the ______ moves me," you were saying "the band was playing another song" and if you were actually listening you'd know that that is just not true, plain and simple. I'm sure this band just sucks and everyone is wrong and you're right. To each is own unless you don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

  • @turoniner Relax Dude, it's the Internet.

  • @kuladeeluxe Hey baby if you're gonna talk misinformed shit about one of my favorite performances I'm gonna make sure you know you're wrong.

  • @turoniner That's it, I'm gonna ask Nora to Butt in here and answer which one she likes best. Well Nora...

Hello , this is Nora here Turoniner. I like my original version more. For some reason we had been on a long Bus ride to get to the Gig, and the food really sucked at that venue. Plus Jimmy the base player received notice his taxes were being audited and was not himself. The base player really keeps all our performances in time. Glad you like the original though. Keep well, Love, Nora.

  • @kuladeeluxe Hahahahahahahaha nice. I really wish that hadn't been chock full of spelling errors because it really was quite funny. Bravo.

  • Just out of curiosity, how old is she in this performance? 19? 20? It's scary good.

  • in this vid shes 28.

  • Hmm, I didn't think that was possible so I looked it up. This was filmed in Aug 2002, so she was 23 at the time.

  • Heartthrobber! Mad about this album, every song is perfect.. Just downloaded this album for free at DownloadMusic/./im , remove the slashes..

  • i love her!!!! :D

  • I'm in love :C

  • She is so classy, beautiful and talented.

Theres a subtle sexiness about her which is so lovely.

  • jjjjjjust brilliantly adorable! Sweet.

  • She's pretty smoothe. Oh and My Mum dores her.

  • Adam levy is such an amazing guitar player!

  • Oh man, I used o play this song on repeat. I just want to name my girl nightingale just so I can sing this to her.

  • i love this song

  • Such a GREAT live concert DVD... I used to watch this every night... studying it more than just watching.

And that guitar solo is still one of my favorites ever. So simple and fits the song perfectly. It's seems like nowadays, guitarists solo like they are racing a car without regard to other drivers (as in, musicians/song) - throwing as many notes around just for the sake of it being "technically advanced"... but with no feeling.

    This is absolutely gorgeous!

  • this is a dvd?

  • I have to agree, Jonny. I listen to this song just for the guitar solo, sometimes, because it reminds me of the beauty of simplicity. (Matt Scannell of Vertical Horizon, his older stuff, reminds me also).

  • The difference you are trying to describe in the guitar playing is talent.

This 'solo' is far more difficult to play, because it's musical talent expressed through an instrument. Not some simplistic manipulation of strings like a 'rock guitar god' does.

  • This is my favorite Norah tune. The solo is perfect. However, it's difficulty is relative to a specific comparison. A very subtle solo, and it's melody moves perfectly with the song itself. To say that virtuoso playing is "simplistic manipulation of strings" is something I must disagree with. Like anything, it's just a matter of tastes. If the music of "guitar gods" is invalid, they would have no fans, yet they have many. Mr. Levy's no longer with Norah. Is he the next G3 guest? I think not.

  • yes. ure totally right man. charlie parker said that a song is a conversation and guitar players that play too many notes its like shouting and babbling when the other fellas are calmly talkin.

i learned that solo (& song) for that very reason

  • this is absolutely beautiful.

she's the kinda gal you wanna take home to take care of.

WHAT A VOICE. She proves music is about quality, not decibels.

  • im doing this is school choir...great song

  • my favourite...La mejor...que dulce...
