It can be done by using a ripping program... try Xilisoft DVD Ripper. The only tricky part is editing since you'll probably gonna end up with more video than you need... anyways, you need an editing program. If you go professional, try Sony Vegas. Otherwise of you're new to it, stick to Pinnacle Studio.
