And why the fuck would there be more pepole starting to play competetive because killstreaks are on when thats the main reason they left pub? If you want to make CoD more competitive and change it up then make it Search and Destroy only. But if they were to have another game style, such as 6v6 with restrictions on killstreaks (the closest you will get to involving the pub community) then go ahead. The pros will have their ladder, and the pub stars will have theirs. And it would be cool to see some pro teams mess around in the 6v6 bracket.

What pro players need to realize is that the current competitive COD format doesn't appeal to the masses. If COD is ever to evolve into the status of Halo and Starcraft, there has to be some changes. What those changes are, I don't know. But killstreaks is a change, and change has to come to competivite COD.

Killstreaks would open up more options. For example, as of right now quickdraw is the only second tier perk for competitive matches but that would change with the introduction of killstreaks.

Why not just add more game modes to it? Instead of making it more into a public match? MW3 has other Great Game modes Sabotage and Headquarters have great potential in making it as a MLG Game mode Sabo was awesome in COD4. Headquarters is just King of the Hill but it has some messed up spawns that might mess it up not sure though havent played much Headquarters on this game to know. If you want Kill Streaks put it on TDM and only UAV so theres no camping.
Incorporating killstreaks into competitive play WOULD NOT increase the participation in MLG significantly. Pub players play with ALL killstreaks available. MLG would only allow certain killstreaks...the reason pubstars dont play competitive is because they like the availability of ALL perks and ALL killstreaks. They dont want compromise, therefore, introducing Killstreaks wouldnt be as awesome an ideas as y'all might think.
90% of the pro wont let this happen so there is nothing to worry about. In the end it doesnt matter what MLG says, the pros have a huge say in what goes in, and MLG isnt stupid enough to do something none of them will want.

What they need to do is create 2 different pro ladders . one with the traditional game style(no steaks) and the other with the kill-streaks . Guys have u ever played a pub? recon drone is a 10 killstreak, if u die it doesnt get reset, everybody would use assassin so counter uav doesn effect them and they wouldnt be seen by advanced uav too. FUCK KILLSTREAKS

Every single CoD they think about putting killstreaks in MLG and it never happens. Its just twitter is bigger than ever gaming wise so more people know about it. If it makes MLG more money in all aspects of the game (Competitor and Spectator) they will put killstreaks in the game as long as it doesnt ruin gameplay.

What pro players need to realize is that the current competitive COD format doesn't appeal to the masses. If COD is ever to evolve into the status of Halo and Starcraft, there has to be some changes. What those changes are, I don't know. But killstreaks is a change, and change has to come to competivite COD.

COD is the biggest game out there, and in theory it should be the one with the biggest audience for competitive play. Since that is far from the truth, clearly there is something wrong. Wouldn't you agree? And perhaps, killstreaks might not be the way to go. But doing the same that hasn't worked before over and over... not the brightest idea

To some extent I can agree on that the current killstreaks are designed for 6 players or more. But I still think that competitive play should be more like public play. The reason being that one of the deciding factors for success is that the fans can imitate their heros (the pro players). Baskeball has the same rules in High School as in the NBA. Pro Gaming need public heros!

The first priority should thus be how to make the game as competiitve as possible and then look at possible slight changes that might make the game more popular. NOT the other way around.

Killstreaks would open up more options. For example, as of right now quickdraw is the only second tier perk for competitive matches but that would change with the introduction of killstreaks.

I would like 2 try scrimming with my team with killstreaks. I understand where your coming from john with the community growing but i believe the viewers that we alredy have will leave because they are so accustomed 2 having it all about setups and roles that they wont like 2 watch the games if killstreaks are in. Like I might like playing it but i personally think i might not like watching it. Who that is already in competitive wants to watch people camp for killstreaks or use a pred 2 clutch.

I just dont think we shouldn't be changing for the masses, we should be patient, maintain publicity, grow slowly and keep the competitiveness - its growing all the time :) pub players who 'think they're good' are trying out gb all the time & we have a constant stream of 12 year olds, of which a % who mature up will take up competitive i'm sure :)

for a start, killstreaks aren't consistent in how 'good' they are - a helicopter can get 0 kills, or 10 kills, you never know.. so how can something that inconsistent be applied to competitive.
More camping, guaranteed.
And being killed randomly by a massive thing in the sky spraying at you is the most frustrating thing ever, bad idea.

Why not just add more game modes to it? Instead of making it more into a public match? MW3 has other Great Game modes Sabotage and Headquarters have great potential in making it as a MLG Game mode Sabo was awesome in COD4. Headquarters is just King of the Hill but it has some messed up spawns that might mess it up not sure though havent played much Headquarters on this game to know. If you want Kill Streaks put it on TDM and only UAV so theres no camping.

Incorporating killstreaks into competitive play WOULD NOT increase the participation in MLG significantly. Pub players play with ALL killstreaks available. MLG would only allow certain killstreaks...the reason pubstars dont play competitive is because they like the availability of ALL perks and ALL killstreaks. They dont want compromise, therefore, introducing Killstreaks wouldnt be as awesome an ideas as y'all might think.

wait why cant they just add in a thing to the game that allows the support killstreaks to be reset after you die. that would make every killstreak harder to get even a uav because not many pros are alive long enoungh for even a 4 killstreak. and they should limit it to only the support killstreak loadout. like my comment if you agree!!!

But if we-re talking about Support, that-s a way different story, obviusly because if you die you will steel get a killstreak (e.g. Advanced UAV) . OMG NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT! That means scrubs like Wings of Redemption can camp for an over powering killstreak and then basically level the map so that his team mates can cap flags and plant bombs. Terrible idea. The whole reason for competitive gaming was for it to be a balanced game, all gun fights and all strategy. Now kill streaks will just be one loud ass chaotic game where the only objective is to get the most over powering KS. Lame!

What they need to do is create 2 different pro ladders . one with the traditional game style(no steaks) and the other with the kill-streaks . That way with the streaks ladder brings in alot of new viewers and eventually some of the viewers will get curios and say " I wonder how the other kids play with now killstreak" and realize it takes more skill.
