He didn't have a legitimate quarterback until he came to the Patriots in '07, and look what happened then to his numbers. Rice had Joe Montana and then Steve Young. Every one of those others had a great QB and championship team behind them at one point or another. Largent did what every other WR did and more with Zorn and the expansion rejects of the Seahawks. Rice, Moss, etc couldn't have gotten anywhere near those stats on the early Seahawks - but Largent did.

Rice's career numbers: 303 games with 1,549 catches, 22,895 yards and 197 TDs. This was in 20 seasons.
When you think about the time each of these guys played, its pretty close.

While Rice has the top spots in statistics and rings over Moss, Moss had less luxury. He didn't have a legitimate quarterback until he came to the Patriots in '07, and look what happened then to his numbers. Rice had Joe Montana and then Steve Young. Moss was a much better athlete than Rice, but the thing that separates them is Rice's unchallenged will to train, whereas Moss knew he was the best, and was satisfied with it. Rice only reached the zenith of football by his own dedication.

Amateurs. Largent is #1 of all time. Hands down.
Every one of those others had a great QB and championship team behind them at one point or another. Largent did what every other WR did and more with Zorn and the expansion rejects of the Seahawks. Rice, Moss, etc couldn't have gotten anywhere near those stats on the early Seahawks - but Largent did.

Don't get me wrong randy moss is a freak, and is physically as good or better than rice but Jerry Rice was more consistent and level headed, he had alot more yards. Teams didn't triple cover Rice like they do to moss either. Just cause Rice has better stats doesn't make him the better wide out, his consistency does tho.

I almost forgot, another thing to point out is that until Gannon, Brown played with a lot of mediocre at best QBs yet still racked up the stats. Rice had Montana and Young, Moss had Culpepper and Brady, Harrison had Manning, TO had McNabb and even Garcia who was a pro bowl QB. Who did Brown have? Absolutely no one until Gannon and that was late in his career.

Such a flawed list IMO. Rice is the greatest WR ever and thats not even debateable. Everyone else is just fighting for 2nd. All the records and longetivity speak for itself.
Oh and its also pretty laughable that Tim Brown is not even on here. Very likely a top 5 wideout ever. When he retired, he was actually 2nd in a lot of records to only Rice and just being on top of his game for 15+ years has to warrant him a spot
