golutia. Jesus died for sinners. Believers have eternal life the moment they trust Christ by faith alone. We are eternally secure. John 10:28. Unbelievers who die in that unregenerated state go to hell to suffer for all eternity. John 3:36.
As Christians we don't want lost people like Hitchens to go to hell so we warn them and give them the good news. Jesus saves people from hell. Believe in Him for eternal life. John 3:15. Acts 16:31.
I actually think that Turek makes his best points in this segments, which still pale in comparison to Hitchens' ones, but are nonethless valid. I just wish that he hadn't waited so long to make them.
I think Turek starts to destroy his own arguments. He starts off arguing from a deistic point of view, which is reasonable. It is not entirely impossible that the universe was created by a deistic God. But the further along in the debate he gets, the more he shifts to Christian theism. And like Hitchens said earlier, there is no way to make a connection between the deistic creator and the theistic God. So most of what Turek said is conjecture.
I can't tell whether Turek is being stupid or deceitful in this debate. He twists Hitchen's arguments. If you believe Turek's lies and soloipsistic non arguments then you are extremely stupid and naive.
that christian guy is just too stupid he is not even a 100% christian he doesnt say thats why God exist but why God "can" exist, iam a Muslim and iam 100% sure that if i just brought that athesit guy one of my friends he would shut him up in no less then 10minutes

first ; it aint my friend but an imam a representati that probably knows religion and islam better then me. this hitchen s a good talker but his ideas are wrong
I'll tell you. I don't know. But as oppose to resorting to faith i'm going to read up on physics, and if not contribute but at least understand and remain update on its progress. AND NOT attend bible school and clap my hand to church music and be content that god and a leap of faith is the answer to it all
Turek's finely tuned universe argument is backward. Is it not obvious that life on this planet is adjusted to the universe and the world the way that it is, rather than the universe and the world being tuned so that life can take the forms it does?
This delusion is eroding due to the tranfer of knowledge and reduction of Godly ignorance. It is about time we grew out of this ridiculous superstition that has retarded every positive human endeavor since it's inception.
colleges should use this clip of Turek to show what specious, circular logic a religious zealot will resort to when attacked. It would be laughably pathetic if it wasn't so terrifying in its popularity.

Hitchens made one mistake, and that was letting this ass address the crowd last.

Turek completely does not understand Hitchens nor his views. His anger shows his udder (moo) fail.

Turek's closing remarks - five minutes of outright, egregious, bald-faced lies.

Anybody would be frustrated if people like you simply don't understand what he is talking about.
Faytez0r 2 years ago
We understand what he's saying, and it's nonsense. We've all heard it a million times before, which makes it even more ridiculous.
Dragos1591 2 years ago 6
He doesnt have any arguments. I dont even know how he can even get to debate somebody. I have heard better arguments from people on youtube.
He just parrots the ignorant statements of previous theists.

This "Dr" Turek should be happy to have Hitchens bring him closer to Christ. Hitch absolutely crucifies him.

What came before God? What caused God?
To answer your question, it could have been an infinite stream of causes. I wouldn't assert that I know.
