  • My grandfather was from Scotland and I am proud to be Scottish!

  • so i'm guessing you live in or close to south lanarkshire?

  • Very nice thank you! I'm planning a 2 week trip to Scotland next year for a clan gathering and plan to drive the entire time, spending the majority of my time in the Highlands. I'm very much looking forward to just this kind if experience :-)

  • I got it. its about 70miles from here

  • where about is the road at the start? or which road is it?

  • why do i think this a mazda or a ford

  • Lovely country there. Good work with the Flip.

  • You're driving on the wrong side of the road! ;)

  • Nice video, great music - I have a signed one on order from Magnus thanks for the heads up.

  • sunny day in scotland.... very unusual:)

  • Dude that road......ah you lucky sod...that looked like a road from the isle of Malden off operation flashpoint (the first one), i half expected "contact right" from the trees! (I play too many games!)

I look at those places and think i would love to live there then i think about the manky winter we just had and nooo!! Pity you couldn't have had a camera lower down on the curb side a more motorbike feel? Whats with the damned tank trap / check point at the start? great video, well done!

  • @RetroGameTech I'd love some of that rainy weather Scotland sees. It's been upwards of 40c here in the the states (Texas) for over 50 days this year. It could rain for 2 months straight and I'd be fine with it.

  • West Central Scotland? Are we talking like Ayr or Argyll? I live in Glasgow ive been on a few hill walks in the trossachs and other places.

  • @Smowked Nothing worth mentioning, lol. It's about 14 years old and slowly rusting away :(

  • I tought you were driving in the wrong way, then i remebered you re european LOL

  • Send it into Codemasters, perhaps they'll consider it for DLC in Dirt 3.

  • have you seen C'était un rendez-vous. where a man drives thru Paris in the early morning, at high speed. Its a camera bolted to the bumper of the car. Supposedly a big Merc. But with a soundtrack of a ferrari dubbed on.

I think it was Snow patrol that used the film as a video. Pity they didnt leave the ferrari noise on, instead of there own

  • @griftereck I actually really like that video :). I don't mind the Snow Patrol song either. It seems to fit perfectly with the video.

  • i would lend you my golf vr6 to drive these roads on if i lived closer!!!! roads are very boring down here in norfolk!!!! lol:-)

  • @robster604 Lol, I'd definitely take you up on that offer. Haha. you should see the old banger I drive!

  • @RetroGameTech treat yourself to a vr6 dude!! great solid fast car and can find them very cheap! just bloody expensive to run! but i only do a few miles a week in it so its not too bad:-)

  • cool

  • beautifull scenery :-)

  • hi incase you dont want to give your location away if you keep going on that road does the first place you come to begin with a S and is/were there a jail on the right hand side

  • @tvdxrools I think the road name is the B743 if that helps. It's recently been resurfaced and painted and is super smooth/fun to drive. Pretty quite road but seems to be really popular with bikers this time of year.

  • love Scotland anytime of year fantastic weather that day though

  • it woulda been funny as hell if the nice music quit for a few seconds and all you hear is loud wind noises hahahah

  • @HaxAras Lol, I actually thought about doing that. It was crazy loud and very distorted. I could have given everyone watching a nice fright XD

  • Looks like a scene from Top Gear

  • I saw a guy the other day that was driving in a sports car and he had (i think) one of those go pro HD cameras to his roof. I know that a lot of motorcyclist vloggers stick special cameras to their helmets. Could probably do something like that to your car.

Great scenery btw! Ive driven through Scotland and that's just how I remember it (but more sunnier lol) I love this song too!

  • @HuntHerKillHer I'll check then out. I was maybe going to make another channel just for messing around with doing stuff like this because it's kinda fun :) .

If you like the music you should check out the rest of the album! I think it's great. It's not even the type of music I usually listen too :P

  • this road reminds me of child of eaden :)

  • I've been to Scotland many times, I remember a lot of roads like this.

    VVVVVV FTW!

  • Anyone else get that alen wake feeling lol?....

  • Great vid. Funny how we can take a normal activity and turn it into a video game eh! What car do you have??

  • So many signs and lines for such a rural area. Don't get me wrong; if it saves lives it's a good thing. The United States' DOT is busy rebuilding the crappy roads they through together(my dad retired from MODOT so I know). It makes it interesting though. lol

  • I went to Glasgow and Edinburgh summer 09. Pretty similiar to Norway, great place. And u lucky with the weather in this vid maan :)

  • @Lastseengaming I've always wanted to visit Norway :) . I love that type of landscape + you guys get proper snow in the winters!

  • looks like you live in the middle of nowhere haha nice video

  • where's Nessie?

  • I was going to ask why there was sun in ole' Scotland.

    But it does happen.

    About twice a year.

Looks like a lovely place t' drive though.

  • Going to be 94 degrees F or 31 degrees C in Sacramento California today =)

  • Hi,

    I'm from southside Glasgow.

    Looks familiar............where is it?????

  • wow, that was kind of relaxing what with the music and the winding road and the scenery..

  • Really cool man! Awesome idea and looks great!

  • beautiful place!

  • Nice vid! I enjoyed watching that.

  • Wait, Sun in Scotland?? this has to be fake :P

some of it looks likes the maps in Dirt 3

  • @madbab00n lol stereotypes

The uk is alot sunnier then its made to look

i havent seen rain where i live for atleast 2 weeks

  • @DeathMetalDom1994 well not according to my friend she lives in the uk and every single time i ask how's the weather she almost always says raining, and overcast

  • @shadowtsunami XD i live in birmingham, england

i should know what british weather is like

ive lived with it for 17 years

  • @DeathMetalDom1994 just saying i mean everytime it is the same answer then she goes on saying that she's so pale and stuff xD. Maybe she's in an alternate universe in a time warp where england is always like that

  • @shadowtsunami Well the thing about the UK is that the climate is very different depending on what particular country you're in. For example Scotland and England have noticeably different climates. To confuse matters even more, the weather is very different for the separate regions within said countries. But, Scotland on the whole is a lot wetter/colder than England. I'm originally from the north of Scotland, to me the south of England feels like the tropics :P.

  • @madbab00n Lol, definitely a rare occurrence :P .

I can't complain, I've always been a big rally fan :). I just wish my car wasn't a rust bucket, lol.

Also, Colin McRae was actually from close to where I live.

  • @RetroGameTech

Rally in finland starts tommorow :) Great course.

  • @RetroGameTech i like your vids, im into fixing broken consoles and broken iphones and such. ive been working on a xbox 360 that wont read disks, ive cleaned the head and altered the laser position slightly and it is working fine for like 2 hours straight then just as i put it back together it decides to stop reading disks again -.- hopefully after more adjustments it should be working fine now. (i hope so)
