I have never had to say "I am not American" to somebody. Despite common misconception, people do not confuse Canadians and Americans when abroad. Everyone knows Canadians are smarter. So when I approach someone and talk to them in a very educated, generally intelligent manner, they know I am Canadian.

I am pretty sure Canada and the USA are separate countries, despite similarities in culture, and the overall society. Look at the EU, many groupds of countries share similarities much the same way Canada and the US do, does that make groups of EU nations one country? No.

Canada has a very diverse, lively landscape. Our seasons, in the most northern territories, do have a summer, believe it or not. Right now in Ottawa, I am enjoying a nice 30 degree Celsius day.(or 86 Fahrenheit in case your too stupid to know what Celsius is)
