  • Very nice video. Roll kur no more!

  • @camillajonsson - yes right NO MORE

  • This video would be far more effective if you fixed the terrible sound.

  • @mfskarphedin - yeah you are right, i just dont have the footage anymore, so it will have to stay like this, it was kind of a reaction video to the rollkur epona clip,

    kind regards Stina Herberg,

  • I love this video. I completely agree with you!

  • @SuMmErgirl714 - thanks!

    Rollkur NO MORE

  • I am from Denmark where Eponatv comes from and i love that people all over the world is listening to Epona and saying no to abuse of horses. Dressage, jumping, western og whatever - abuse is wrong.

So great to see that people all over the world is beginning to open their eyes.

  • @DKBlueGirl - hi thanks for your comment, yeah its good with Epona TV

  • This is not dressage. It is neither classical or compassionate or civilized!

  • @GaitsofEden - this is a reaction to the blue tongue dressage and i agree with you the blue tongue dressage is not dressage neither any branch

  • sk3lt0n ( I sincerely hope you are NOT Nick !!!) a riders ability should be defined by how LITTLE they need to use artificial aids to get the horse to do what they want. I had a riding instructor 50 years ago called Judy Ascolli, she drummed it in to us that your Natural aids i.e seat , legs and voice., should be the only things a rider should use. My wee welshie in my videos is 25 years old and 70% blind, his hyperflexion is purely natural, so he can see where he's going.

  • i do not agree with u in the video.

a point i feel i must get across : rolkur!

i know that everyone has their opions for it. i have never used rolkur myself, but i have read through articles and its proven via tests that when rolkur is used correctly it causes no physical or mental damage to the horse. Secondly u mention spurs, double bridles and whips. Like rolkur, if these are used correctly then they cause no damage to the horse

  • its ok you don't have to agree. i think that we humans are using too many horses for our entertainment and we are not enough considering the horse.

unfortunately many sports horses live very short and get damaged very early.

  • (cut this in half)

To me, dressage - true dressage - is the basis for everything you do undersaddle. Dressage is about partnership, and being one with the horse. It is about dancing with your horse.

I have several dreams for myself and my horse, and one of them is to compete at a high level, but another is that outside of the show ring, we will be able to do the movements of Grand Prix dressage together, completely tackless. To me, there would be no greater way to show partnership.

  • Thank you for this video.

When I first started getting interested in dressage and started hearing about rollkur, I was aghast at, and confused by most of what I was seeing. I'd read a few books when I was young that talked about classical dressage, and what I knew about dressage, and what I saw didn't begin to match.

  • @DeXMonica Hi Monica, thanks for your comment, yes that rollkur has no future

  • I am in one way with you and one way against what you say. I have been racing harness racing horses for almost 10 years now. And I am educating myself to become a horse fysio therapeut I am allready a massage therapeut and wanted more knowledge about horses. But what I can say is that the only ones that dont really care about their horses are in the dressage competition. Rollkür that gives high points extreme flextion is awarded high points not at all how dressage is suposed to be. Its sad.

  • Hi 123.., thank you for your comment. What points that i mention are you against and why? I hope you have time to answer. You can watch my video Horses and Resouces, in that one i talk a bit about race horses. Looking forward to your comments. Kind regards Stina

  • @stinahumana

Hi again I will uppdate on more and more as I learn more and my end paper will be on this how the horse works with difrent workouts and how you do to better work in one disipline to another. I also need to uppdate more on my horse language in english I can see :( Add me as a friend and I will start a new channel once Im done with my education. On a fot note Im against dressage as it is today overall. All forms of harsh equipments aswell. Have a nice time till next time stina :)

  • We can only hope that the negative "publicity" this abusive riding has generated will turn up the pressure on the FEI.

  • Well those horses don`t look verry happy too

  • Beautiful video. Inspiring. Great message you are getting out. You have educated a new horse owner (myself). Thought you would like to know that you have made a difference for me at least.

  • hi, thank you for your comment, i am very happy to hear that! keep going! kind regards stina

  • the sad thing is how blind modern dressage riders are.. we are training horses in classical way and we often hear that it is just a circus and useless for sport.. and that is the point.. equitation shold be an art and not only a sport where horses are used only as a tools and not at all as our partners.. K.

  • yes, so we have to speak up!

  • This video is a true reflection on how us horse people SHOULD treat our equine COMPANIONS! That's just what they are are, even in competition, our partner, our companion, our friends! I always make it a point to connect with the horse that I am riding! There was 2 special horses, that I had following me around, by the end of the first ay apon meeting them. They are my 2 very favorite horses. This video is so wonderful!! Thank you!!

  • Hi Altesse, thanks for your comments, good luck with your horses!

  • I agree that winning has become more important than training, and quick solutions are often abusive. I do think however that things like the double bridle can be useful training tools IF AND ONLY IF they are used lightly and in well trained hands. I don't think drassage is abusive by nature, it literally means to train, but people who want to win more than correctly train are a huge problem,

  • hi calicat, thank you for your comment, some very trained riders can use the double bridle, but if they are very trained, i think they could do with one insted of two bits.

    kind regards stina

  • Beautiful video, beautiful location!

I agree that there is so much more to horses than the modern sports rider appreciates. They are food for the soul,...To not know this, is to not know horses!

Where was this video shot? The location is stunning.

  • Hi Dream, Thank you for your comment, it is in St. VIncent, Eastern Caribbean, close to Venezuela and Barbados. I live and work here.

  • I had a hard time hearing your comments throughout your film. I commend your work with your horses, you certainly spend alot of time enjoying/working with them. I'm sure you had plenty of time to make the film perfect with editing and voice overs, etc... That being said, Its sad that you would be so quick to judge someone else by their warm up unedited video. He corrected the bit, and admited it was a mistake. I don't agree with the rollkur training either, but who am I to judge?

  • You are welcome to remain passive in horse abuse, that is your choice. I will do my part to go against rollkur and using the horse for human pleasure only and let them die young. Most Danish riding horses become 7 years in average, its is really on high time to react. I do not think the horse is a thing you just buy use and sell.

  • This is lovely, and really really makes me want to be a better, more connected rider. Thank you for this..its truly wonderful.

  • Your videos are really wonderful! You must be the lucky one:)

  • ...unmuscled horses! if it`s good for the legs in view of a ridinghorse?? very good! your head ist just for the hairs ...

  • hi ohra, thank you for your comment. i don't ride my horses yet, so you point about the muscles is a good one, they dont have enough to be ridden, they will have before we do. best of luck with your beautiful stallion!

  • Poor your stallion, he suffers so much from bits and false collection, making so unnatural and ugly movements for your pleasure. But you're too blind o see it. :(

  • hi sky, arabs and SMX, thank you for your comments, i really appreciate it! sun from st.vincent

  • Again, thank you Stina.

  • "The horse can give much more than medals and money" - very true words, Stina. Thank you for your videos!

  • What I think about the question 'how bad is bad?' I guess the horse must fell over twice by exhaustion, untill they finally see and do something about it.

  • I wish I lived there, this is just beautifully amazing.
