Life in Prague

I love Prague.I get to walk by Vltava River everyday when I go to school and it never fails at amazing me.Sure there are many beautiful cities all over the world, I dont doubt even more beautiful than Prague, but Prague is somehow special. As Christmas is approaching I am looking forward to do my annual trip around the most beautiful spots in the city, but at night for sure, because it is then when Prague looks absolutely gorgeous.

I just went there for 6 days and it was afull! People seem arogant and afread to smile to you. The hole city smells like pis, general people have a bad smell and very oily hair. The 3 and last time i put my legs in prague.

I spent a week in Prague in 2008. In comparison to the 'rest of Europe' (Germany, France, Italy, Spain, etc.).....Prague has a very odd mystique and almost malevolent feel to it. You will certainly not feel the warmth and safeness in Prague as you might in other European cities. Everyone seems to look at you with suspicion and seems reluctant to smile. It could be the old communist personalities have not died off yet or it could be the that I look like a big skinhead to them. (Because I shave.)

@vin332010z I know exactly what you mean. Czech people are a bit wierd. I for example love the Spanish people, they are so lovable and fun to be around. But Prague has actually the most pleasant and friendly people in the whole state, more you get to the country, more unbearable it gets. I actually moved from country to city because of that. But Czechs, altough we might seem cold and distant at first sight, are great when you get to know them. :)))

I'm traveling to Prague in a couple of weeks from down under and i am looking forward to it! Ive concluded that eastern Europe is a good gateway to seeing the real Europe without breaking the budget. I believe the Euro is stopping people like myself from visiting places such as France and Scandinavia. Are places such as these really that good or are the just overrated by cashed up yuppies who can afford to go there?

Whoever watches this video, probably thinks Prague is an Awesome, calm and beautiful city,Well, a part of it is, But otherwise, Its like any other city, 20 years after communism, full of cold,dark and communist neighborhoods with hating skinheads walking down the sidewalk, with students smoking weed in the park, I think Prague is not that awesome, I mean, I live here my whole life, probably because Im half Czech, half American. I mean, I like Prague, but Life in Prague aint really like this.

I have to agree partially. I lived quite some time in Prague for myself. Actually you find in the center a lot of uncomfortable people and the cashiers at the supermarkets are probably the worst. But still on the borders of Prague you can find alot of nice people and not far away is beautiful countryside. As a toruist I would just briefly check the center and then try to get some view from outside the city.

but its just your view. I spent in Prague 10 years and have to say Prague is AWSOME!!! It's just up to you who you met. I know a lot of great people everywhere (many of them from Prague) and a lot of assholes who you can find everywhere either...
