Back then, the terms "white" and "black" were used to denote the difference between "pure" and "evil" NOT skin color.
The Phrase "Skin" footnotes to: 2 Nephi 30:6 It speaks of dark scales. The word "Scales" refers to a "Skin of Darkness." Or "Spiritual blindness. NOTHING to do with skin color.
