  • Wow, one of the best Korean dishes I cooked and it took all of 10 minutes! =D

  • Those cookies are too adorable like you are!

  • what can i substitute somyeon? I cant find it..korean grocery is so far from my house..

  • @snsdlovermuahahaha i have used somen noodles (japanese white noodles) the other day. it works great. they are more commonly found in the asian aisle of any grocery store. when i don't have time to drive out to my korean grocery store, i go to my local store and always find it in the asian aisle. you would prepare the noodles in the same way she prepares the somyeon. hope this helps!

  • those people who tried the food were lucky

  • What is the difference beetween bibimguksu and bibimnaengmyeon?

  • @porkfat naengmyeon has buckwheat noodles and a different sauce, you also apply mustard and vinegar to it. Also, it is served cold :)

  • I love you maangchi! You make me smile!

  • What other kind of noodles can we use. their very limited here.

  • I love bibimguksu!!!

Sooo good especially during the summer

    I love all your cooking.

  • I think I'm going to try making this! This recipe is going to save me a lot of time especially because I am a college student and have so many exams to study for. Thanks, Maangchi!

  • Why do you wash the noodles? By doing that you remove the starch that the sauce sticks to.

  • @rajest624 it's not starchy like spaghetti, and rinsing it keeps the chewy texture nice

  • ooo I have all the ingredients and had nothing to make for dinner, I do now! =D

  • Omg, this looks so delicious! I must try this out! *rushes to local Korean market*

  • Maangchi, do you know the korean name of a soup that is similar to bibimguksu? It has somyeon and kimchi in it. They serve it at a korean bbq place where I live but I don't remember the name of the dish >__<

  • @xKaoKaox it you are talkinga bout soup, that sounds like naengmyun. which is similar but alittle different, the noodle color is often dark gray, black, or brown.

but bibim naengmyun is the bomb.

  • @lolllipopmania nope, wasn't talking about naengmyun. this soup has the exact same noodles as bibimguksu. It's not the chewy brow/grey noodles. also its eatten hot, not cold

  • LOL Good show and great food. 감사합니다

  • Any other problems or questions, you welcome to email asking me. I am a TCM doctor. :)

  • And reduce to eat any "fresh" salad too. When they not rinsing well, will harm too. Best part is cooked noodles only with hot soups. :) Safest and using your very own spoon.:)

  • Bottom line is, reduce to eat any fast food, hotdog, pizza, and cheese or butter, any fast noodle which cooked by the industry palm oil, and go to any cheap restaurants. :) Because they never use one time chop sticks, forks, or spoon, many people got infected hepatitis disease that harming their liver's and colon's health. :) This is serious, because this disease will not reverse until ppl die. So take care.:)

  • You gotta love Maangchi :)

  • To solve the puzzle of all, I plan to open my very own Zen Restaurants later for all, as long as we have some special opportunity for this. :) And all Chinese major city, also have their own TCM nutritious or even therapy focused restaurants, for treat diseases, help enhance health and strength, etc and they are very expensive and most popular. For those rich families.:)

  • and not all Chinese know this secret too, due to we have difference language and customs too, and most do not want to change.

  • In my hometown, we also have some very special ones that receipts are secret only we know, due to you must know to read in Chinese. :) And they only print in Chinese to sell too. :) These noodles are all organic and original local high flexibility flour made--our flour are unique too from here, and the receipt can help against all tumors and cancers too, as long as you eat everyday,

  • SUPERBASS

  • I only eat our very own Chinese noodles. :)

  • The best part of noodle is the soup, do not forget let them try that. :)

  • Maangchi you are so cute! :D

  • About the noodles, still love our very own ones which add nothing into it, just flour and water or a little bit salt. Most orginal ones are all Chinese made ones. :) We are the best. While these hard shaped ones from pasta of Italy, etc. European countries, not tasty to me at all, and they all added the stone powder for the smoothy feeling, which I guess may harm the health actually. Take care. :) And best noodle, never share in big ,and each dish is unique in China. :)I against all hotdog idea.

  • When you said sesame and paused for awhile, i thought you were going to say oil next! but you said seed instead ;D lolz

  • I alwasy love spicy food, and believe, if you eat at least 2-3 times per week, you won't have any health problem. But I prefer hot dried chilly pepper , rather than garlic and tomato sauce. :) And the cucumber's quality is best in China only--in taste and shape, all medium, here's is too bit, while middle east store's are too small. But, more tasty and delicious, looks more alike our ones at home. :)

  • Wow!! The cookies. She must be a baker, right?? Maangchi you must be very happy and touched by her. She is very sweet!! I was looking for 비빔국수 on your website yesterday. And I said what?! She hasn't done it yet? But guess what?!! You showed me it today!! Amazing!! You are the best!! Thanks!

  • Always like Maangchi. :) She looks like real Hello Kitty. :) But, why all fans I got from my websites and videos mostly not my own favorite? :) While, I know, I should loading more and wait. :)

  • Can you come over here so we can cook together!?

    I'm so hungry XD
