If you watch several of these episodes in a row, it becomes apparent that it's the exact same story time and again. The parents are separated, the father is usually missing, the kids smoke, drink and do drugs until the cows come home, they spend a week in a foreign country and in the end they have a revelation and start to improve. It's really formulaic and it makes you wonder if it's not just a complete set-up from start to finish.

Barbados kicks ass. Went there on vacation...people there are really kind and not assholes. The Island itself is unbelievable...especially bathseba, but what makes it special is the people without a doubt.

Some of the most well mannered people I have ever been around. Only other country I liked as much was Germany where people were also great!

What a poor start to this thing...I'm all for discipline, but these Barbados parents are the strictest ones I've seen so far, of all the WSP episodes I've watched...I think they went way overboard on the first night...Nathan should not be smoking, but I think the parents could've used psychology and charm to get him to hand over the cigarettes, but instead they used verbal force, which only fuels anger from everyone...What a bad first night...I wonder how it all will end.

These Barbadian parents are a bit too serious...Not even a hug?...In other episodes I've seen, the parents greet their house guests with a hug and a warm smile...These Barbadian parents are jumping in too fast with the rules...At least let them have a good night's sleep and then tell them the rules the following day...The Jamaican "World's Strictest Parents" were warm and friendly when they first met their new house guests...These parents are a bit too extreme...Give them a chance to adjust.

I think the reason these British teens are so indisciplined is because their parents haven't parented them properly, so, ultimately, they're the ones to blame for their teens' bad behaviour, not the teens themselves...Children live what they learn...Don't spare the rod and spoil the child...That's usually the mantra that Caribbean parents use as a guiding philosophy for disciplining their children...Strict discipline works in the army, so the same should apply in the home, using similar methods.
