That's just it, there aren't any decent HW boxers. The real difference between the gloves of mma and boxing is percision, which although boxing gloves have more weight and surface to make heavier impact, they don't land clean on KO points. You place a punch in mma, in boxing if you punch someone in the face, you literally punch their face.... That is not going to phase a guy like Kimbo. He also has great power and high punch output, which make him a serious problem for most HWs.

I think Kimbo is a "could've been" more than anything. He has heart, strength, and good stand-up. However, he has no cardio and has been training in MMA for a relatively short period of time. Plus he is like 35. His best days are behind him from a physical standpoint and he could never hope to become more than a short-term journeyman at his age.
Too bad we don't have a time machine and can train a 20 year old Kimbo for a few years and set him loose.

@peteymandem I'm talking about why would Kimbo/Sham fight each other in the primes of there career when kimbo didn't burst onto the scene until his 30's? It doesn't make sense, if the fight happened it would of happened that night at EliteXC. And Kimbo would have won. Yeah if Kimbo has been fighting as long as Sham has and this fight was 10 years ago, yeah Sham would win. Sham isn't relevant anymore, not saying Kimbo is but in this fight if it happened TODAY...Kimbo would win.

I'm just saying if this fight Dhamrock/Slice happened at EliteXC rather than Petruzelli/Slice the result would have been different. Neither fight is relevant, Shamrock was about fifteen years ago when he had his last legit win.

I think Kimbo is a "could've been" more than anything. He has heart, strength, and good stand-up. However, he has no cardio and has been training in MMA for a relatively short period of time. Plus he is like 35. His best days are behind him from a physical standpoint and he could never hope to become more than a short-term journeyman at his age.
Too bad we don't have a time machine and can train a 20 year old Kimbo for a few years and set him loose.
