@Thomas11611 Some people can't afford the required lessons when learning the most meaningful way, but they still want to know what it feels like to play the intrument. Quite frankly anyone who is passionate enough to learn a piece like this is wise enough to know that playing it in a by-eye-manner is very shallow. But at that point it hardly matters.
@EngelbertEdelholz It matters if you want to learn your instrument. And if they can afford an internet and watch this video then they can also look up theory for piano. The internet alone is enough to learn how to read music. It's what got me started.
@Thomas11611 Oh, you're part of the internet generation. Then I can't see what you're upset about. I thought you'd be sad that the Synthesia program kills the art of people teaching people, the interraction, the social effort, the hard work, time and money that goes into the process of profoundly mastering a hard skill. But I guess you have a point of some sort, it just draws a line so delicate that it really doesn't matter anymore.
@EngelbertEdelholz Lol. I'm not upset about anything. All I done was stated an opinion 4months ago and now I have you jumping me about what I said. Reading is important and people should learn how to read. I said the Internet because it can be a reliable source of information. If you want to make a career out of music, do you think you can use synthesia to get you started? Where is all of the accent marks? Legato, Sticatto? Synthesia doesn't provide that. Reading is important.
@Thomas11611 Well if you wasn't upset before, you sure are upset now, and I really don't understand why. You say it's important to learn how to read and yet it seems you can't even read simple comments on Youtube without getting on the defensive - not only are you pissed off for no reason, but you also appear to lack the talent of benefitting from a calm discourse. I'm not jumping anything, I'm expressing a differing opinion and I'm sorry if that hurt your feelings. Reading is important, agreed.
@EngelbertEdelholz Lol, ok... Dude, seriously, I'm not mad :P All I said was people should learn how to read 4 months ago. I couldn't read music before and relied on synthesia at one time, but the I learned the ways of reading and I now see why it is important. Learning from others is essential. If it wasn't essential then we would never progress with knowledge of certain subjects. Or even be as advanced as we are with technology.

It is a beautiful piece... but I feel like Synthesia takes away the true meaning of piano music.. reading it is what it should be like.
