This levels not that hard you gotta think smart and make the monsters fight each other for example the first Cyberdemon you can make him fight against the Arachnotron, Spidermastermind and perhaps the few Mancubus outside if you're lucky saving you a lot of ammo and you get a nice show the real threat in here is the Arch-Viles imo.

to beat it, without cheats, just find good hiding places and angles to shoot from, sounds like it would take ffffoooorrrreeeevvvvveeeerrrrr but like i said before, the last time i playd this i got a time of just 46:48!!!! when monstrs r in a pack close togethr, u may be able to run in, especially if ther in that wide open place, and go for the kill with the rocket launcher or bfg... also if ther r arch viles, get them to follow u close enough that u can attack effeciently.

I have done it in "Ultra Violence". Of course the first playthrough was with God-mode and unlimmited ammo to learn where all the power-ups and ammos where.

I also remember there were some walls one could cover behind and shoot. I used those and always kept running when in the open.

in Final Doom, Go 2 it. You either had to use Godmode (IDDQD) or be totally badass to beat it. Even on normal mode i could not pass it as i overused a Health Pack when i was suppose to save it at critical.

Played this on ZDoom just now on Ultra-Violence difficulty for the very first time. I like to kill absolutely everything in the level....so thank god for saves. It took me 45 mins to complete the whole thing. Very challenging and VERY fun!

And on a side note...you guys that are complaining about the person playing using god mode....read the description. They are just showing how badass and EXTREMELY hard this level is.

To win this without Cheating use the room where you first start out and up the stairs to the right. mobs cant get in there, use it to hide in. The trick is to let the mosters kill each other while you draw gunfire (The Benny Hill Song helps). A few attempts and some exp with cyberdemons and it is fairly a cake walk. To Godmode this level is just sad, in all seriousness. This Level is mad fun when you know what your doing.

plutonia was actually made by die hard doom 2 fans, but iD liked it so much they made into plutiona (and gave them all jobs in Id for it). The only problem was that the fans made the lvls for themselves and used so much memory there was no possible was to port it to anything but a computer. (takes breath)

The level is beatable. It just takes methodical killing, clearing one area at a time without disturing another area. You have to be super careful with ammo, and let most of the monsters kill each other before picking off the remains. The cyberdemons are the tough part as they tend to survive the onslaught unscathed. Saving after each small victory is integral.

I love how this map is an upgrade of Map01 from doom 2. It's such a cool throwback.
