driving a ferrari means taking a lot of responsibilty on you. If you keep that in mind every time when driving a ferrari you will never come in situations where you need TCS.

Additionally you should just let people drive a ferrari who have very much experinece with high-powered RWD cars. And that kind of driver knows where the physical borders of a ferrari are and will so never drive the car in a way that he needs TCS.

i totally agree with some points, but there always will be a situation in which you will need TC, like for instance, a cold morning and the road are a bit frosty, like it or not, i would rather have TC, it is just an extra help to stabilize the car. an yes, if we could we would rather switch it off, when we are going to drive a bit more sportier, however it is all safety measures.

I don't understand why would you make a commercial to put down a legendary car like the F40. Clearly any auto enthusiast or Ferrari owner would rather have the iconic and epic F40 over the 599 even if the 599 is overall a better car.

You're missing the point. I'm not comparing the Shelby to a Ferrari. I'm comparing a new Shelby to old Shelby and the new Ferrari to old Ferrari. Point is, most car enthusiast would prefer the classics for many reasons. Rarity, exclusivity, purity (less electronics), etc.

Most Ferrari drivers considered the F40 the best Ferrari ever made until the Enzo and now possibly the 458. Putting it down when comparing it to the 599 is just sad.

1. The Veyron has nothing to show. It's a heavy car with only top speed to care about. A simple Porsche 911 Turbo outhandles that thing.

2. Price. Both cars you mentioned clearly go over any price range of Ferrari vehicles. Except the Enzo. Still, to achieve 1000HP the Koenigsegg needs to run E85 ethanol.

3. Ferrari cares about handling and braking over top speed and power. Think about that for a second.

In the end, its a stupid comparison.

I am fortunate enough to own a selection of Ferrari dealer DVDs and on one of them is the complete video of this - it was filmed on a closed road with professional drivers, what you see here is just a taste of the complete clip. Regardless, its still fantastic!
