  • If I were president, I would do what I could to shut down all Casinnos and Stripp Clubs.

May God help the souls who gamble and commit adultery.

  • Look at how this creep never takes his own molesting hands off his timid, terrified wife.

  • @matthewghardy What video are you watching? lol

  • :(

    This almost made me cry...

  • Why is this pastor willing to defend strippers, saying "Oh they're trying to do the right thing," but not guys who struggle with lust?

  • @JustinIsAlwaysWright Driscoll isn't defending strippers, he is explaining their situation. And clearly the guy he speaks of is not just struggling with lust - he is indulging in it.

  • This is bullshit you don't leave the guy. You work it out with him and get it straight with him about how you feel when he hurt you, and if he does it again then its a different story. The bible says we must humble ourselves and try and understand and show compassionate of others not only serving and pleasing yourself.

  • @RussX5Z That's exactly what the guy did. (Your last sentence) And I'm not going to even comment on your language. I hope that if I would do something like that my girlfriend would break up with me because I would not deserve her when I'm going out doing things like those. In addition, as a "christian" guy he shouldn't been doing that not because of His girlfriend but because of his relationship with God. I like that Mark is straightforward and what he said it's true. Of course she needs to

  • @JPNR First of all who are you to judge me on my language yeah I said fuck, shit whatever I use those words because I speak directly from my heart not for attention. Yeah I'm honestly pissed that's fuckin why. Anyhow only god can judge me. By the way I don't like Mark and I think he doesn't respect his own gender "MEN" And what about the women huh? There are so many unfaithful women that are whores these days its not even funny. And in this era where feminism has done its damage.

  • @JPNR Yeah women are suffering from their bad unfaithful husbands and boyfriends. And so ARE MEN with their unfaithful wives and girlfriends!!!!!! In a survey there are more depressed men than women. Wake up!! What I am saying may sound belligerent or low class but listen to what I say not how I say it.

  • @JPNR But both sides of the genders these days are all fucked up!! Men and women can't get along anymore. We the people can't get along any more because we're too busy serving our selves and JUDGING OTHERS!!

  • @RussX5Z I understand your point of view. But you need to understand this guy is a pastor not a just a speaker. He is not speaking to un-believers, he is speaking to Christians. Its ok if you don't agree, but as a Christian the advice he gave is the right one. Yes this whole world is getting worst and worst and I was walking on that road but Jesus saved me and now I'm not. As a Christian the Bible tells us to not go out with unbelievers. Not because we are better but bcause we have nothing in...

  • @RussX5Z in common. A relationship like that is not what God had in mind. Boyfriends and husbands need to be faithful to their wives. They need to be willing to fight every temptation for them. They need to be willing to sacrifice everything and anything as hard as it might seem. All these sexual pleasures outside of marriage are selfish. And it can be from either side.

  • @RussX5Z forgive but that doesn't mean she should stay with Him.

  • ALLAHU AKBAR!

  • I will get mad and dump that guy...If people show you who they are once, believe them

  • I will dump that guy!

  • @LycaonsBane I got these stats from this very video. See from 2:10 to 3:40 in this video.

  • 90% of prostitutes molested as children, similar figures for dancers. And "Daddy's Girl". Eye-opening and sobering if indeed true.

  • Thank you, Mark, for standing up for women without emasculating men! I love the Biblical perspective on relationships and maturity.

  • @everenduring

Maybe women who are dealing with lust never ask him questions about it because they are used to it being viewed as a "male problem". Not that it is one, but it is more commonly seen as such because of our culture. No one is saying women don't deal with lust, I just think he is saying that seeing strippers and dancers have a lot of issues that lead them to this point and that it isn't attractive.

  • Seeing him with his wife inspires me.

  • I love Mark. So much.

And I'm that demographic of single 20-something male that he mentions he has a large viewership/membership of. It's easy to see why. He speaks the truth in a way we young men/boys-who-can-shave can understand.

  • Very good advice and spot on with the message. What Mark is trying to get in the heads of men is that they have a RESPONSIBILITY to all women. A responsibility to not abuse them, to not take advantage of them, EVEN (especially) when the woman is "willing".

  • Who cares if she's beautiful? She shouldn't be preaching. What does beauty have to do with anything?

  • @JCojocaru

Maybe you dont know, but this series is about Marriage, Couples, and just Family things. As far as i know, and i think its a good thing that he brought his wife so she can speak her thought's from her point of view on these questions.

and yes she is beautiful, he is blessed.

  • SHE is BEAUTIFUL! Mark! THAT message was no sermon but some rock solid man to man talk. Guys dont really know WHY the girls work these clubs...You just exposed the secrets.

  • SHE is BEAUTIFUL!

  • there's no mention that the boyfriend might have been abused? which we don't know, and didn't Jesus' desciples say to him not to enter the house of sinner's because they partake in orgies and perversions. And that he would be contaminated and Jesus told them not to judge because the sinner's may enter heaven even before the desciples!!! Jesus also said that "The Heart of the Law is Mercy" ... Mark is actually playing god here and his judgement may hurt people and cause distress...We All Sin...

  • or the epidemic of false rape accusations, paternity fraud, and biased and sexist family courts which perpetuate the epidemic of fatherlessness.

  • This guy IS a fantastic christian, but he is a mangina. He is totally unaware of the concept of misandry and the culture of misinformation about men and sexual abuse.

  • @mrDerikm how so?

  • They live in a glass house

  • Talking about making a small thing into a big thing...sigh...

  • @YksiSuomalainen When soldier's were fighting in WWII...heck when teenage boys in gangs fight and shoot each other...what's the big deal? Everybody was doing it!! ... No matter how accepted sin may be, it is never normal...and it kills, man ... from a separated porn addict ... it kills. But that's right - you must have a some kind of special deed with God where you get to be a jack-ass and not suffer any consequences. You just keep thinking that bro ... when the 18 wheeler hits your windshield.

  • @evolvinConstant1 I don't think a bachelor party in Vegas is such a big thing. In my opinion let every couple themselves figure out what they do.

  • AMEN!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I have enormous respect for Mark Driscoll but this worries me! There seems to be no joy (or grace) in this couples' Christianity. It sounds like they're following the Lord out of fear. We should fear the Lord, but not so He's portrayed as a bully. Speaking as a guy, I would never go to Mark Driscoll for counsel because I'd be too afraid. He's a teacher, but not a pastor.

  • @MrTMarshy To me, it sounds more like they are following the Lord "WITH" fear, not out of it. God's Grace, through accepting the fact that His Son died on the cross to save you from your life of sin, is not Christian license to go on sinning. Read Romans 6:1.

  • @mrm87 You're completely foolish

Obviously you have no knowledge of psychology

Mark probably has more "proof" of this 90% figure than you, as an internet nerd, have against the 90% figure.

Apart from religion even, if you do something like this while engaged, you're trash. I'm sure you'll feel differently when your fiance, before you're married goes and sleeps with some one else because "She's about to be an honest woman"

Jesus created all, therefore, He set the rules on what believers can do.

  • I love people who use garbage like religion to criticize other people's behavior. Are these women in Vegas being forced into stripping? Are they prostituting themselves? The answer to both, obviously, is no.

Do you have proof for this "90%" figure? Also, to assume that the majority of strippers were exploited as children shows your ignorance. It's a choice. You have ZERO proof on that.

What gives you the right to criticize people? What makes you better than everyone else?

  • @mrm87 You are a fool if you believe that all of those women are up there stripping and prostituting themselves out because they enjoy it. Sure, there might be a few who get their kicks from it, but most don't. You are just trying to fulfill your perverted fantasy that women really want to please any random man in such a way. I'll pray for you to open your eyes.

  • @jadedbutterfly27 They do it for the money. Hahahaha, do you think men like to work because it's all fun and games? No. Don't tell me it's fine to exploit men for their labor and not exploit women for labor.

  • @mrm87 I just love ignorant bigotry of those, such as You; who are willingly controlled by their self-centered, self righteous slant on life.

We don't look to the foolish Hell-gratifying "Pearls of Wisdom" for the growth of Our sanctification.

  • :]

    Mark, you are amazing.

  • Yeah. He's right. I live in korea and a lot of filipino women here work as juicy girls /prostitutes so I wonder if it's the same type of thing about them being molested/raped

  • don't deleat it! Talk to the man!

  • Excellent video message for the teeming millions out there ISO of something even resembling Truth. Your videos should be offered to as many engaged couples as possible..

  • Mark deserves an Oscar for this one.

  • There are Christians. There are non christians. These people always seem to argue who is right and who is wrong. there is also a third group of people like me who live a life loving the mystery of it all doing our best that the rest of you miss out on.

  • @adamgpreston

"There are Christians. There are non christians." I just found it interesting you used this particular phrase :)

  • My concern with this are the figures and the tatoo story where are the sources for both stories, we are all moved by the stories about the 90% of strippers and the tatoos but this is the only place ive heard either of these stories and have no idea if they are authentic or correct

  • The Bible says Adam and Eve had sons and daughters it's in Genesis 2 I think.Or 3.

  • The fact that Mark thinks that all strippers(or 90%) were molested or raped proves that he is an idiot. If he thinks that molestation or rape is "boot camp" for prostitutes, why don't we see more catholic alter boys out on the corner in fishnets, high-heels and a mini-skirt? Huh Mark?

The sad truth is, many young girls get molested/raped.

Strippers are filling a niche that will be filled one way or another, the money is there, that's why the girls are there.

  • @okplayer420 the fact that you wasn't molested to be a stripper doesn't make most people become like you

  • And that makes it ok? Because its all about the money?

  • Driscoll is just about the biggest douche I've ever seen!!!!!! Don't believe me? Check out his video about the "Dudes" of the Old Testament, and how he praises them for being so macho that they could easily go to war and slaughter men, but when it comes to following the natural desire to look at a naked girl he seems to be deeply upset that someone could do something so horrible. So, let me get this straight. Driscoll thinks that killing is commendable and that lust is unforgivable. HUH????????

  • It's because one if sin and one isn't. Killing in wartime is certainly not sin. Lust is.

  • Thou shalt not kill.

The commandment is really simple. Just four words. It doesn't say, "thou shalt not kill-unless you really need to."

Looking at a women to lust after her was not a sin in the old testament as far as I know. It wasn't until Jesus came along and said "whoever looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery in his heart".

It's natural to lust. It's not natural to go to war.

  • This may be hard for you to take, but here is the truth. Violence is sometimes a righteous act, and adultery is ALWAYS wrong.

  • Does incest count as adultery?

The god you believe in is supposed to be "eternal and unchanging", yet was not quite smart enough to create a system of populating the Earth without the exclusive use of incest. Then, for some strange reason, he changed his mind about incest and said that it was an abomination. So if adultery is ALWAYS wrong, how did the human race come to be?

By the way, who was Cain's wife?

You christians are retarded. I swear, you're ALMOST as hilarious as the mormons.

  • I'm pretty sure God provided created other people after Adam and Eve were banished. He HAD to have. How else could Cane have gone out and found a wife? Adam and Eve hadn't had other children.

  • Why were they not mentioned in the bible? I thought the bible was the complete word of the one true god. There seem to be many holes in the story. Especially Genesis.

  • The purpose of the Bible is not to be the complete history of the world. God doesn't choose to reveal everything. I suppose if you want to create holes you will no matter what I say.

  • The dudes he was talking about killed in the context of war. They were soldiers, especially David. There is a big difference between killing in the context of war (if you don't kill them, they WILL kill you), and murder.

  • Was lust considered adultery before Jesus came? I'd like to see the verse in the OT that equates lust to adultery. "Thou shalt NOT KILL" was just important enough to make it in to the top ten commandments(why it wasn't #1 is something I can't understand), I didn't see lust on the top ten list, did you?

  • You are right, it's not in the old testament. Jesus did this with several old testament laws, He took a laws that were based on outward action and pointed to the heart of man... saying that having the motive in the heart is just as bad as actually doing it. Jesus also said that anyone who hates someone is a murderer.

  • So how is it that you agree with Driscoll that lust is more despicable than killing? One is completely natural and the other is not. Lust is actually instilled in man's heart. God told Adam to be fruitful and multiply. How is that gonna happen without the desire to mate? That's really all "lust" is, desire. NONE of us would be here without it. Killing, even in war, is detrimental to society and humanity, lust is what keeps us going.

So like I said, Driscoll is a douche.

  • It is more despicable then killing... when we are talking about killing in the context of war. If we are talking about murder, that is different. The New Testament tells us that God sees all sin equal. To Him, lust is just as bad as murder, lying is just as bad as rape, etc. There is none more despicable than another, all are equally horrible to God.

  • Mark Driscoll is speaking as a human being however, and often we get more emotional about somethings than we do others. Crimes against children always make me angrier than others.

  • So, you really think that a man who loves his wife desires her the same as the man who goes out looking for prostitutes? It's not the same.

  • There is no way that you can associate lust with Gods command to be fruitful and muliply. We are all here because of love and sex, not lust. That is a poor interpretation. lust in the Bible is almost always mentioned in a negative light-- and lust is not only aboust sex it just describes an unhealthy passion towards anything in general. I can lust after power and money as I do after sex. So maybe Driscoll is not a douche after all unless u have a problem with the truth. Get understanding!

  • Wow, being a woman who was rapped by her grandfather and thought many times about becoming a prostitute to escape, he is soo right. Praise God that He healed me and set me free and I work a good job, however, I do still have a problem, my grandfather was a preacher. I don't trust preachers. So, even though he is right, I would have trouble listening to him for very long. God is still working on me. No condemnation if you are in that setting, God will come through for you.

  • I wonder what he says male stripers were?

  • those two are soooooo sweet.

  • sweet my ass! how is demeaning SAHDs and saying they are not men and that women are lowly for being SAHMs and respecting gender discriminating sweet?

  • do u not agree with what he says? tht women are built to care for their children? physically and emotionally tht is.

theres no denying tht they are... and i thank god for the men tht can emotionally connect with their children - especially their daughters... i know my dad doesnt.

the main problem here is peoples views on headship. the man loves his wife and leads the home in a godly way... women instruct the children and submit to their husbands.

im a gal and i have no problem with driscoll.

  • women are more nurtuing thats true, however that does not mean men are not and that is not a justification for men to not be SAHDs

women and men should instruct and husbands should submit to their wives and vice versal.

  • powerful, good stuff

  • Very powerful.

  • agreed its not a good thing Mark, but im not sure the advise on telling the girl to chuck the boyfriend was particular good advise, the councelling part was tho, also i dont think making fun of the guy was particulary good sport either. sorry, just an observation, but very good sermon!

  • Great sermon. Thanks for telling it like it is without pulling any punches.

    Gabe

  • I agree with everything mark said but i think sometimes it comes out like hes condemning the person rather than the sin, almost judging him. Thats what my non christian friend said. My friend got ticked off about what he said at the end. We need to be serious in indentifying and dealing with sin but we need to do that in a loving way.

  • wow thats right.

  • I like how you put things into perspective Pastor Mark. God Bless your ministry.

  • Amen brother. I watch hundreds of Christian videos regularly, but I've got to say that your genuine interaction with those you speak to is something I always look forward to, & send to others. Yours is a wonderful ministry who truly blesses others. May you too be blessed.

  • Mark you hit it right on the head man! Most of these girls have been violated. When we begin to see this through the eyes of Jesus, and even through our own eyes as physical fathers, things begin to come into perspective pretty fast.

You guys are right on! Thanks for being the real deal.

    Pastor Rene
