ok you say alienware is over priced TRUE but think about it you could get alienware wich is the best gaming computer on the market (to my knowdlge) now look at this the most expensive MAC (to my knwodlage) is 32000$ thats about 42000 euro (im in europe) and for that 32k you get somthing like 7 gbs of ram wich is nice but macs dont need that much they cant run anything big or good or important and u get like10 terra bites of memory wich is 10000gbs of memory. wich is a lot but uncessecry PC FTW
macs do better at video editing and stuff like that which requires quite a bit of power, that super expensive mac would probably be for professional video and audio editing, so macs are used for some pretty important stuff, video games aren't the only important things with computers.
Yeah... things like simulations, studio quality video/sound editing, servers to keep the worlds networks running, weather forecasting, scientific research (protein folding, particle simulations etc etc) use macs.. oh wait.. they dont...

@Rifalltoo First off steam is on the PC too not to mention their are far more games available for the PC only. Yes there are plenty of things for the mac but they are small compared to all the third party apps and etc designed for the PC. Hey at least with Pcs we can use all the latest hardware.

They are normal computers made with an operating system installed. I can make a $400 computer, buy and install a Mac OS separately (I don't think it's possible since I've never seen Apple's OS sold separately anywhere), and it's a Mac. They're overrpriced. Then again so are Dell computers but there's alternatives to Dell.

My friend bought an PC a while back with what he thought was decent specs, 2.8ghz processor, 4GB of ram, and a fast (i think it was 8400 or something) RPM 250gb hard drive. My old G3 mac desktop which is 450 mhz, with 512mb or ram and a 20 gb ghetto ass hard drive, is infinitely faster than his machine, it's ludicrous. His computer lags and takes forever to open/close applications or do pretty much anything, and my mac doesn't. It's weird.
It's Vista. Windows 7 runs a lot better. I think the Mac OS might run a few thing milliseconds faster than Windows 7 can. Big win if you can find the software you like without running Boot Camp.

there is a reason why alienware is priced as high as it is, and there IS a demand for it, if there wasn't, they'd be out of business.
It might not be worth it to you, but many, many others do find it is worth the price. It's much like a luxury car. Sure to me, it might be priced too high, but it's still worth it if I could afford it.
They are in business because of idiots. If you bought the components individually and put it together yourself (a trivial matter really) it is way way way cheaper. Same performance, same specs, less money spent...
What about laptops? Do you realize how hard it is to design and put together a laptop, let alone one that is compact, looks nice, and packs a hell of a lot of performance? Let's be realistic here, many people can BUILD a desktop, but very, VERY few, if any, can build a laptop.
And as for desktops, people buy them because of convenience, not because of incompetence. Most people could easily learn to make a desktop, but they don't because buying one is far easier and more convenient.

macs are for more stable than pc/windows. For example I make 3D animations and rendering a scene is a process that requires alot of time, CPU and memory usage. When I rendered a scene with a Macbook everything went smooth but when I did it on my own computer with way better hardware it kept crashing...
Yes but apple's OS systems are designed specifically for mac hardware, while MS has to cater to a zillion different hardware configurations. If Mac did the same thing they would have the same set back's as MS and probably worse. Plus they are so goddamn expensive.

im pro mac, because i live in a house with 5 computers. we got a mac first, because my dad is a mac freak. this was like, 7 years ago? still no problems. then a pc about 2 years ago. its filled with so many viruses, i cant even use it. then a mac laptop about 1 1/2 yrs ago. no problems. then a pc laptop last christmas. ive brought it to best buy like 6 times since, and it needs to go back again. another mac desktop 6 months ago, and its fine, too. so yea. FUCK PCs!!!!

This is ridiculous. 3 Minutes of research yields that Adobe only pulled out on a 64bit release for Adobe CS4 because Mac discontinued Carbon 64bit, a new 64 bit windowing API for Mac OSX, and thus force Adobe to port it's existing code to Cocoa 64bit, which as they've discussed is no trivial task. Remember the DX10 launch? Anyway, the 64bit patches/version will be released thereafter the official release. This says NOTHING about the professionalism of Mac or PC.
Yes... and that means the Apple dropped the ball and not giving much warning to a very large vendor it works with. Thus now CS4 works with Vist 64 bit... in 64 bit mode not OSX. So are pros just supposed to wait 2-3 years for the next release?

2.2Ghz pentium 4 with HT was faster then both the G3 and G4 chips. AMD 3200+ was about 60% faster then the G5.

macs are for more stable than pc/windows. For example I make 3D animations and rendering a scene is a process that requires alot of time, CPU and memory usage. When I rendered a scene with a Macbook everything went smooth but when I did it on my own computer with way better hardware it kept crashing...

im pro mac, because i live in a house with 5 computers. we got a mac first, because my dad is a mac freak. this was like, 7 years ago? still no problems. then a pc about 2 years ago. its filled with so many viruses, i cant even use it. then a mac laptop about 1 1/2 yrs ago. no problems. then a pc laptop last christmas. ive brought it to best buy like 6 times since, and it needs to go back again. another mac desktop 6 months ago, and its fine, too. so yea. FUCK PCs!!!!

This is ridiculous. 3 Minutes of research yields that Adobe only pulled out on a 64bit release for Adobe CS4 because Mac discontinued Carbon 64bit, a new 64 bit windowing API for Mac OSX, and thus force Adobe to port it's existing code to Cocoa 64bit, which as they've discussed is no trivial task. Remember the DX10 launch? Anyway, the 64bit patches/version will be released thereafter the official release. This says NOTHING about the professionalism of Mac or PC.

Yes it says that OSX/Apple does not collborate well with vendors.. and the pros have switched over to Vista 64 bit.. and most likely now windows 7. Thus it DOES show ( even if the argument is necessity) that pros now us an MS 64 bit platform.
