  • Can one be closer to perfection (text, acting, music)?

  • Branagh does an excellent job with this.

  • Branagh's Hamlet is big, sprawling, and very imperfect, but there many brilliant parts, such as this one; so few Shakespeare film adapations are complete masterpieces

  • Awhile they bore her up . . . the vanities and false hopes we cling to, until our deaths. . .

  • I'm doing this as my monologue for English so I figured I'd watch it again (we watched the movie in class).

  • The music makes it all the more moving. How beautifully it is spoken.

  • Hamlet is my favorite of shakespeares works. Julie Christie was amazing in this, i think i got a lot of inspiration of what gertude should be from her performance. I did this monoluge for the school competion didn't win but i felt like i did the monoluge justice..... its really a beautiul piece.

  • ahhhh this is perfect it gives me a better idea of how to preform this for my monolouge tmrw : )

  • drowned ! ... oh ... where ? alas then she is drowned ! ... Laertes ... brilliant brilliant brilliant :)
