It should be up to the airlines. Contrarily, the government does owe us good services for our taxes. Paul is wrong about the "obedient servant" idea. Fox, a massive multinational corporation wants & gets mind control from billions through networks, cable, radio, film, newspapers & satellite. They also make billions from advertising & are very popular. They will do anything for money & control, including the distribution of a film w/a political worldview opposite to the one they push: AVATAR.

I don't know if thumb scanning/having people carry an ID card is any less invasive than removing shoes/belt. In fact, that has me more worried about potentially limiting personal freedoms. Ordinarily, I agree with Ron Paul, but this idea seems off.

@MrPoliticon. Ron Paul was not coached by anyone. He was a Doctor but studied Economics in College, he has said that after graduating college he figured the keynesian economics were right. But after doing more readings of Ayn Rand and Milton Friedman he started thinking about more Libertarian ideas, including Economic issues. The economy and monetary policies were the REASON he ran for Congress in the first place. As for foreign policy, is naivete defined as "someone who looks for reasons"?
