Good questions...old videos are not much informative...sorry! You can serve with tea/coffee, eat itself or with chutneys. But traditioanally served as a side with complete full Gujrati menu..enjoy!
This requires banana for sweetness and to make puffy soft vada. But if you want to make without banana then add baking powder and for sweetness, add more brown sugar. Hope this works for you. Enjoy!
Thank you for watchin and it's good question. I have to prepare ginger, garlic and chili paste in big quantity b/c i don't have easy access to any grocery store. I use food processor to make paste and then add enough salt and then freeze them and freezer container or any plastic container. For everyday use, take out small amount of paste and keep them into refrigerator. They are good for almost 3 weeks in fridge and in the freezer, they will be fine for couple of months.
Is this snack sweat or savory ? Do you serve it with anything usually ? thanks for showing this interesting recipe

Can you make without banana? If so, do you need to add anything else?

btw- would be good to do close-up of the inside of the khalwa after you cooked it, so we can see how it's supposed to look.
thanks!
