It looks like you were just following the lead of the lighter trucks. I've had a few Izuzu and Toyota 4x4s before I got my GMC Yukon. It's heavier and has more power. You can't baby it like the lighter trucks. I'm still learning too. You have to gas it and stay on it.
stop babying that vehicle! use momentum and the GAS pedal! going to slow, getting stuck and spinning your tires only makes the trail harder for the next guy when he has to bounce through your holes and straddle your ruts.
