  • 2:15 In The Air Tonight :) ??

  • The juno 106 kicks ass

  • Reminds me of Daft Punk, Tron soundtrack especially

  • Ah!.. i have a Juno 106 and strangely like watching clips on youtube lol.. it must be love! :0)

  • Dis tone is phat az Phuck!!!!

  • does anyone know if this is the synth that was used for the music in the 80s movie Starman? especially the scene with the deer revival

  • i like the pad:D

  • If I had something like this as a kid, and more exposure to that kind of music... I would have been a sick keyboard player. Instead my parents got me a cheap yamaha with a bunch of lame sound effects, and hired a typical teacher with NO taste in music, who tried to teach me classical and other shit I wasn't interested in at the time. I lost interest in it and never practiced. I really REALLY feel horrible that I missed my chance because of my stupid parents. I don't have the time or money now.

  • @GeneralHoohah Yea blame your parents for being lazy and not playing, they got you lessons hahaha.

Come on, I just learned keys (I play guitar). You have time, you probably watch at least 5 hours of TV a week so cut that shit out and learn something to better yourself.

  • @JoeyRec You really need to fuck off. When I was a little kid, the way I was exposed to music by the idiots who raised me, pretty much left a horrible impression. All I learned was that I had to play music I hated over and over again, until I felt nauseous. It left a really bad impression on me for a long time. I pretty much ran away from pianos and keyboards till my 20's. Now I'm just too busy with college and other shit on my plate.

I hope parents learn from this story, WHAT NOT TO DO.

  • Hi!

Gotta love all of your videos! They are amazing!

My 106 seems to have a problem with the filter resonans after I had new voice chips. I can't seem to get all six voices to track even with keyboard tracking when the filter is self-osclating. If I set it to poly 2 mode and only use one voice at the time i am able to play simi tones with it, but when it is in poly 1 mode and I play more then one voice, the voices doesn't tune up together. Do you know how I could fix this?

  • I rescued one from the garbage at my highschool's music dept. They probably thought it was an old crappy keyboard that didn't work. lucky i.

  • wish mine sounded as good.... 2 dead chips :(

  • Kavinsky should use this.

  • I've noticed that that the saws, leads and square waves haven't changed much since then. My EXR7-s still has the same sounds you get around about 0:52.

  • I used to have a Juno106, picked it up in a pawn show pre ebay days for $50! Unfortunately had to sell it when I came upon hard times.

    Thanks for the vid!

  • Good video. I've been running an HS-60, to send midi control to a 106. Then I run the audio outputs of the 106 to the inputs on the HS-60. Instant dual oscillator/split.

    Massive analog.

  • Very nice sound the pad 2:22 .

  • Great Sounds

  • This almost sounds what Depeche Mode used in the original 1981 song Shout

  • I miss the 80's. Great sound.

  • @djessay101

    dankeschön :)

  • i've still got one of these bad boys... never selling it!

  • I call this demo something like: Ming the merseles and planet Mongo (Flash Gordon 1980) hehe :) Nice sound.

  • More versatile than I realized. I never played one. Thanks.

  • Great demo as always Marco, Although I prefer the 6/60 because of their slightly warmer sound, I have to say after watching this it certainly does have a unique feel , a brighter sound maybe. Your 106 sounds great because you would have all the voicechips in top shape. Mine sounds wierd on only 4 voice chips and I can only play it in mono, but it still does amazing filter sweeps and bass. Its such a pity they did not leave the arpeggiator on the 106.

  • @mik300z

    Hi Mick,

I also prefer the Juno-60/6. The sounds is more warm and the simple arpeggiator fantastic. But I also like the cleaner plastic sound of the 106.

The Juno synths are all great!

  • Waaooo that's a great machine indeed. Means it's digital but you can affect parameters like on analog synths with designed functional knobsO__O

Machines from this generations are interesting and I'll say that sounds (factory ?) from this model are great and warm^^

Great demo again my friend retro ^______^

  • @Akatomie

    Hi Kitkat,

the Juno-106 from the year 1984 is real analog.

very warm sounds, perfect for deep pads and bass sounds

    thx a lot

  • I'd love to get an old roland synth someday...

  • I like the old Roland Junos and Jupiters. Korg didn't made that good polyphonic synths at that time. Oberheim also made good poly-synths that time. Now, I think Korg has grown bigger then Roland. The sound you can get from a Korg Radias, is just amazing.

Anyway, as always a great demo.

  • @rdproductions01

    thank you :)

  • some lovely sounds there Marko :)

  • @Twilight1964

    thank you

  • I rented one in 1988 for 6 months ... your sounds act as a time machine to me ... thanx!

  • 3:29 - 3:25 awesome!!!

  • great sounding 106.

  • Awesome video...the Juno 106 was an all purpose synthesizer,

  • @jrEarl

    thanks

  • how you master them !! i like the melody starting at 2:16

  • @SLuys89

no mastering only a little bit Lexicon MPX delay and reverb and direct record to HD

    thx

  • Nice, but the delay effects you add to some of them sorta take away from the raw sound... VERY good video. Excellent synth. I don't know why I don't have one of these. Oh yeah.... I remember now... :(

  • @VacTrooper

    thank you

  • I love synthesizers

  • Wow a trip to the 80s and back

  • @VenusHeadTrap

    :)

    thx

  • The Juno6 60 106 are great sounding well made synths!

Have you looked at the new digital Roland SH01 ?

    Thanks again Marko great work!

  • @GCom67

    Hi Graeme,

thx for your comment. I agree the Juno´s are fantastic synths, simple but with great sound.

I see the new SH01 at the music fair.

  • nice but not the same as juno60

    your obx rule here

  • @soundmanhaven1

I like the JU-60 sound also more.

    lg

  • @lukesfx

Ja die Junos klingen schon fett. Ich mag den 60er auch mehr.

  • very nice example! where did you learn to play?

  • everybody loves the Juno 106 !

  • @TR0jAX

    Juno´s rock :)

  • Im a huge fan of the JP-8000. If you digg this thing you will love the 8000!

  • Such a great instrument. Long live the oscillator!

  • massive nice tunes again :) Thank you !

  • @031doolittle

    :) dankeschön

  • Very nice 106 demo!

  • @drifter7508

    thank you

  • sexy!!!

  • Classic synth - just got one. Needed new chip and parts added, but its looking and playing brand spanking new now. The new Juno G is great, and pays homage to this machine, but nothing beats the original.

  • I made this effects with Styrus Vst Plugin ;)

  • One of the best synths ever !!!. Great demo.

  • @pedrogomis

    thank you

  • can you do some videos on samplers?

  • @PsychedelicVideos

    I have no sampler

  • Very nice demo Retro! Keep 'em coming like this, hail to analog machines ;) 5*****

  • @wizardofozbe

    thx a lot

  • Nice video, with the typical DCO sounds of that time :-)

  • @VenjaMusic

    thank you

  • it takes a bit of effort to make a bad sound on a juno.

  • @STINKOPOOP

    absolute agree with you

    thanks

  • love that '80 flavour!

  • @maupivetz

    :-)
