This movie should contain a warning: "Don't see if you have been the victim of corporate downsizing." It's just painful to watch all those faces of the downsized. The redemption is that Clooney's character doesn't get the girl because -- in an ironic twist on the norm -- she's the cheater.

I know you guys are saying this "isn't deep", because it's something a lot of people go through, but that's actually why it was deep for me. It exposed a part of humanity that is so often hidden/denied, and it was neither overdone, nor feigned. It was real and true, which is why this film was so beautiful.
