  • William Buckley, CIA Station Chief, Beirut was kidnapped by Hizballah on 16/3/84. His body, extensively tortured by Dr Aziz al-Abub aka Ibrahim al-Nadhir was found later that year. Medical torture (interrogation) is a gruesome but apparently necessary science. An ironic fate 4 Buckley, but not entirely unexpected. Oddly enough, a car bomb destroyed the HQ of AMAL on 16/3/04 the 20th anniversary of Buckleys abduction in 2004. Read 'Journey Into Madness' by Gordon Thomas publ. by Corgi Books 1989.
