The Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 E2 had 450hp from a four cynlinder 1.7 liter turbo, thats incredible. It weights just under 1000kg so it has the same bp per tonne as a bugatti veyron.

@0006super At the San Remo rally in Italy it ran with over 540hp with 3.0bar of boost from a 1.8 litre engine. And the engine in this car was probably the most reliable in the Group B era. It actually is the best group B car ever built and Audi fans can say all they want. The Pug is better and the stats prove it. This car was designed to be unbeatable and just kept evolving every time. I love the sound of the Audi, but this is a much better car.

@0006super I agree with you about the cars, but even though Audi made and exit in 86 after all the Group B disasters I think they threw the towel in because Kankunen was so ahead in points in the 205t16 anyway. Apparently the Audi drivers hated the S1 and preferred the older models that actually handled like the A1 and 2. To cut the chase short, the 205 was the only purpose built rally car that actually done something big

Awesome car and the music set the mood just perfectly for this type of video. Very emotional. I especially liked the part where Timo Salonen sat in the car with those huge ´70s sunglasses. And it looked like Ari Vatanen really enjoyed it in the Peugeot team. I must say this is without a doubt the prettiest Group B car ever.

Owning a 205 myself i know and have witnessed the sheer "pure-ness" of these great cars.

As for the music "the winner takes it all" i can see why you picked it - but its too slow for this kind of car.

The 205 are anything but slow and we all know that.

Perhaps you could post another without this music... After all its the peugeot that intrests us all not the music.

Often you can hear the cars coming well before you can see them. I want to relive the sounds as well as the sights. That's why the background music in most of these videos is a major drawback.
