  • Hmm, interesting!!! We have "simliar" point of views. ;) I grew up in Europe, so I can relate. We had the trolleybuses in Arnhem, and by far they're best type to have. I favor transit that's "PROGRESSIVE & DIVERSE". I live in the US now, but their organizations are run with "very narrow" perspectives. Some cities are ok, but these Busway and BRT ideas are nothing more than cheap wasteful modes diverting from the better alternative of their rail counterparts. Watching this video makes me SICK.

  • i wish nyc busses would look like this only other countries got better things on the streets like trains

  • Nice looking buses, good song , great video

  • these buses looks they gonna tip over whenever they turn haha

  • Nice modified Mercedes-Benz Citaro's. :D

  • @liam4vids in fact, it's MB Capacity - newer, turns even more, has BlueTec technology (less poison to the air) and works well in winter too (tested in ice in nordic countries). It has 2 pulling axels and 2 turning axels and it can climb up a hill better than Citaro.

  • THESE ARE VERY COOL,SEXY BUSES HAHAHA

  • very poor quality, busways do nothing for urban renewal and guzzle fossil fuel at the same time, it should had been built as light rail instead and the future would be a lot more bright and the streets this monstrosity busway would be more liveable, if its too late for light rail replace those horrible polluting buses with electronic trolleybuses that use wiring strung over the street to remove hopeless dependence with fossil fuel from the route

  • Yeah and electronic trolley busses with all that overhead wires doesnt look ugly.... most of these buses are economicly made anyway, better than 100 ppl driving their cars around at lease

  • Yeah this is a much better idea. Wait, electricity is generated by burning fossil fuels... well so much for that idea.

  • but at least trolleybuses don't burn it on the spot carrying around a heavy engine and the sauce of electricity can easily be replaced with green energy while anything that burns its fuel on the spot to turn the wheels can't

found a better song too for this video, somewhere i belong by linkin park, its about the same length and fits the mood a hole lot better

  • Those buses run on CNG which is a low pollutant , as for light rail which is electric you must think about the pollution caused by the power stations used to provide electricity. Another downside to rail is that it is not flexible. Buses can go wherever. So when urban areas expand the bus routes do as well. A railway is fixed forever. I am not against rail. I believe that there is room for both modes of transport.

  • "flexibility" comes at a cost, try and find a bus late at night on a sunday, its nearly impossible because there isn't anything good enough at all to show that's where to wait (light rail and trams got easy to spot got tracks and trolleybuses got wiring over the road and buses get nothing)

and cng's pollutants are smaller particles which are shown to be a bigger health hazard

and the biggest mistake made by many cities worldwide was to get rid of their trams and streetcars

  • that bus looks tight
