Yeah, I only realized that later. Another missed opportunity was the gas canister on the rooftop. Apparently, if you shoot that, there's a short cutscene of the guys up there flying off of the roof on fire. I didn't know that could be done. Ah well, this video turned out really well despite those omissions.

I think it's easy and very satisfying to drive in the PC version of this game. IV's vehicle handling is much better for PC controls than that of the previous games in the series (it was too twitchy).

Really, it depends on the person and their familiarity with any given control setup, but from a technical point of view I think the vehicle handling in GTA IV works really well on a keyboard or a controller. Just make sure you brake before you take those sharp turns. :D

As for the computer, you'll need a pretty powerful system. Most importantly one with a fast processor.

If you want to find out if your computer is sufficient to run the game google "Can You Run It", click on the first result, and type "Grand Theft Auto IV" into the search box. It will give you a fairly reliable indication of how your specs compare to the game's requirements.

You can enter the lobby any time, and you can reach that rooftop part and the rooms immediately below it by flying to the roof in a helicopter, but the rest of the hotel (mainly just corridors) is only accessible during the mission.
