It can really be intimidating to sing in such a raw off the cuff context when you're used to a lush production. Theres no fucking way 9 outta 10 pop singers would let someone record something like this of them singing. To them it would be like getting out of bed for a photoshoot with no makeup or whatever. Duffy obviously can handle it, maybe even better than the safe confines of a studio-amazing talent.
That's why Duffy is a breath of fresh air in the often phoney music industry. She can perfrom in a completely stripped-down acoustic setting. This is the sign of the real thing.
