True mohabbat (love) never diminishes. If the poet cannot give the love of earlier years, then he never understood the meaning of love. Ghalib would never write such philosophically poor poetry. Ghalib says" go hat ko jumbish naheen per inkhorn may to dum hai....Rehnay do abhi sagher o mina mere gay". This means that I still love my beloved as before although I am too old to move and can only see my beloved. Hence Faiz Sahib has failed to reach the highest level of philosophical thinking. Noor

@Milahi1935 .. brother philosophy and reality are two different things and Faiz saheb had great vision of current affairs... he could live in world like Ghalib used to but Faiz saheb couldn't get away with what was going on in the country. Thus his poetry shows such in his lyrics... I personally am witness of the reality of these lyrics "aur bhi dukh hain zamane main mohabbat ke siwa - rahaten aur bhi hain wasl ki rahat ke siwa" .. this is 100% true and love always come when u have better life.
