very trippy movie saw this when i was about maybe 8 or 9 good movie . At the time the premise of this movie creeped the hell out of me. Not the part about the langoliers but the idea that they were trapped all alone in some sort of alternate dimension .
good to see others enjoyed this film as children..i loved it...it was memorable because i ate my first pineapple pizza and watched this film ...i was about ten...or so. Then i had the because phobia time of being left alone...lol....after recovering from being afraid of the dark...lol

I loved that film very much - too much long but still great. The atmosphere was good, tense, even scary. The acting was decent. The Langoliers is one of the most underrated Sci-Fi films of the 90's - along with FutureSport, The Time Shifters, Virtuosity, Tha Lawnmower Man, Alien 3, Space Truckers, Strange Days, The Arrival, Mimic, The Apocalypse (1997), Virus, RoboCop 2, Them, Body Snatchers etc
Scared me shitless too.. I wasn't affraid of Craig Toomey though.. Just affraid of the approaching sound and fact that the airport was so empty.. The Langoliers were very cool too, although the special effects were kinda lame, even at the time the film was made
Did you see what these Langoliers looked like? Each Langolier has three sets of teeth rotating like a chainsaw, by looking at their texture, do you think they were made of skin or hairy? Did you know that the langoliers come in two different colors; one black and one crimson? The black langoliers re male, and the crimson langoliers are red.

it was made for TV and fairly cheap too
back in 1995 only big budget movies could afford good CGI or effects
fact is early CGI usually looks a lot worse than the old stop motion effects of old
