@MetallicaMK1 Never. If you try and crash this thing it sounds more like a gong. It's way too heavy. If you like to crash your ride, don't get this cymbal.
@iHaveAnger its a great ride, most any heavy rides which include rock rides (heavier than midium and medium thins ) will have a gong sound, Ide look into a hh manhattan ride, or better if you want a ride to crash good why dont you just get a 18 or 20 inch crash-ride lol duh
@MetallicaMK1 not the best for washboarding at all and its a little heavy for single crashing , look into crash-rides or medium thin rides, sabian makes some great rides thattll work
@mattliebl6199 Many peopl have chinas on drumsets. For the most part it is used as an effect cymbal to provide a thicker accented sound. A great contrast to crashes, china cymbals are traditionally deeper in pitch than most cymbals on a kit, adding a great contrast to your drums.
@mattliebl6199 simplar terms , china is an efx cymbal , its not a normal cymbal to find on a stock set , A good china is deffinatly a plus on a set though if you know how to use them, if you dont then it can ruin music,
I have one and its Great
