A few things that could be wrong. First the Snowfer KC2 is about a 13 years old model. Is it possible that the ski base is completely dried out and not absorbing any wax. If you see any hairline cracks on the base this could be the sign of a dried out base that needs to be replaced. If you don't see any hairline cracks then give it a good clean for the base. A light sanding with the sandpaper then wax it with the proper temperature wax for the dry cold snow.
