  • 0:01 boooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • i never noticed Lee Rocker's forearm until this video. holy crap, he's got a toned forearm. what a grip.

but yeah, Brian Setzer's crooner-style voice is amazing, it's like he pulled it from the 40s, 50s, and 60s into his 80s era, and he's still singing amazing today. well long live Setzer and the Stray Cats.

  • My boyfriend told me this is 'Our Song' :) i love you matthew

  • Brian always makes it look so effortless. And trust me.. Even with a great Gretsch in my hands.. playing and singing stuff like this is work...

  • Ricky Nelson first performed this song I do believe

  • @kdcochr yes it was rick's song from the late 50s.....good cover but lacking vocal background, i prefer rick's version but each to his own.

Un swing, une energie et un son, Setzer un génie ! Bref les Cats m'accompagnent depuis près de 30 ans maintenant ! Merci à eux

  • me encanta

    ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

  • Absolutely great!

  • Wow, this is great, it's even in the same key as Ricky Nelson's original; and it stayed very true to that original... I love these guys, man.

  • I wish he'd do more Nelson stuff so it would be kept alive because he does a great jpb as in everything he does. He's awesome.

  • @Tre404 - Actually, it's a Dorsey Burnette original. Ricky Nelson recorded several of Dorsey & Johnny's songs. (Waitin' In School, Believe What You Say, It's Late) There are Burnette Bros. demo recordings available from that period that are quite good also.

  • @surfercrow ...thanks for the insight, man! :-)

  • @Tre404 - two other people commented the same thing i did. Should've read all the comments first, i guess... :o) But anybody here who likes this, Rick Nelson, Johnny Burnette (Train Kept A Rollin), Gene Vincent etc. should check out the Burnette Bros. demo compilations (from early 60's) on Rockstar Records (UK) They're really good!

  • Hey! I think he's a great singer. I love the little growl/distortion he does a lot of the time. His vocals reflect the Cat's style, seemingly traditional but with a modern twist!

His voice deepened considerably throughout the years -- I prefer when it was a tad high in the beginning!

  • What are you talking about????? His voice is AWESOME!!!!! None better. I get a physical reaction to it... don't happen with just anyone! :-)

  • Just as good as the original by Ricky!

  • Holy crap, I'm in love!

  • fuck,

    this song is siick......

  • goin to the brixton show!

    stray cats are awesome!

  • This is my favourite group for about 28 years. I'm very sad that they have to stop playing, because of the hearing problems of Brian Setzer. But first I'm going to the farewell concerts in Brussel and Amsterdam, september this year :D.

  • hey mikeystrafford.. thanks for the information..

  • 32deuce you have the best stray cat video's ever I hope you upload more videos and by the way were did you get this

  • mon groupe et ma musique préféré !!! vraiment extraordinaire

  • He's my one desire... it's obscene what he does to me. He's terribly underrated, to me he is the best guitarist ever-unbelievable versatile. ALL HAIL THE NEW KING OF ROCK!

  • They are/were fantastic live. I saw them several times in the 80's. Brian Setzer was sooo cute.

  • Brian was hard working during the 80's. I mean, he traeted the trip to the uk as a job and while Jim and Lee were (quite rightly) living it up, brian sat in a flat in lancaster gate trying to write the next hits/episode in their success. I totally admire brian and all he was trying to do. And he ultimatelt succeeded, despite the fucking ripoffs, lawsuits and bust ups. Love ya Brian.. Mikey x

  • He's wearing a coat that jim picked up in Kings Road, but I don't remember whcih store. Jim wore it on a photo shoot outside Sir Dennis Cockells place on the Finchley Road.

  • how did you know that?!?!?!?

  • Ha Ha ! I've been a fan since 1981. I have all the interviews and know one or two people also! the shop on Kings road was Johnson's, just adjacent to the Man In The Moon! How i wish it was 1981 again....

  • it wasn't "american classics" was it? i remember that shop did great airforce coats & stuff.

  • There is an audio version of rick,s original right here on you tube, just type in rick nelson slide show with music. Iam 95% sure about baker knight being the writer ,but I will double check. Rick once said this was a favorite of his.

  • As far as I can tell Dorsey Burnett wrote the original. I'm looking for a female singer who did a version of the song. I was in a record store, heard it, and loved it. I never thought to ask who it was. Shame. The Nelson version is great thanks for the link.

  • Dorsey Burnette wrote this tune D28VE. Mike x

  • The original and I still believe the best version is from 1961 by the great rick nelson with of course screeming guitar work by james burton, can be found on lp rick is 21 or lp million sellers by rick/writen by baker knight

  • Can anyone tell me who wrote this song and where I can find other versions of it? I heard one version I really liked. Great slower version of this song sung by a female voice. Anyone know it?

  • WTF the guy booing in the beginning a-hole!

    ahh Brian...<3333

  • how cute a tush has slim jim got here! - sorry, couldn't help that! x

  • its so gr8 when you hear a song u luv that you haven't heard since u were 15 - xx

  • Hey does anyone know what type of coat Brian is wearing???

  • Absolutely great!

  • awesome song, good lyrics...

  • I love these lyrics!

  • Who was that asshole booing? He'd deserve some ass-whooping!

  • This is great.

    love the stray cats

    Hannah x x x x x x

  • Excellent man, my memory is comin back, ive allways been a rockabilly at hart.

    nice1 Dan :)

  • This was originally done by Ricky Nelson...this version sucks compared to that one.

  • Put your lips to mine with your kiss of fire... Classic! I love this song. V

  • Who the hell was booing at the start. Cool vid Deuce. Hadn't heard it live before.
