Well guys, it's been a long, long time. I was 12 or so when I made this list, and looking back on it now, I am proud of my work and appreciate you guys for taking the time to watch! I am well aware that I did not include some favorites e.g. LOTR and Star Wars, and to this, I say Who the Fuck Gives a Rat's Ass. Anyways, this was my personal list, I hope you enjoy it, even if does not include the two most obvious picks a 12 year old could make - adieu.

Platoon is Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber, it wasn't written for the movie. But it is probably the best piece, period, written in the 20th century and one of the best ever.

Can't say I agree with many of these. The Godfather theme, Platoon and 2001: A Space Odyssey are the only truly iconic themes here; maybe Schindler's List might scrape the top 10.... but the theme to Braveheart, really? The rest get nowhere near my own top 10, but I suppose it would all be boring if we were the same.

It's a list of his favorites, how can you criticize. I judge a soundtrack on how they add to the enjoyment of the movie and how much I enjoy listening to them outside of the context of the film. Here are some I really enjoy - in addition to the ones you listed: Passion (Peter Gabriel, Music to the Last Temptation of Christ), Da Vinci Code, Lord of the Rings, can't go wrong with Immortal Beloved (all Beethoven), or Last of the Mohicans (among others)

Anyhow, I never heard Letters from Iwo Jima but listening to it I thought it was composed by Clint himself (if you heard his other pieces) but it's by his son (dad must have had some ideas and influence!). Although 2001 Space Odyssey is beautiful, it's not an original soundtrack so I would not have included it.
