  • LOOK SHE IS MISSING THE ISSUE,,,,the bankers run America not the President or senate/congress. If we dont wake up we will all be dead,,,watchlists will include christians, ex military, muslims, libertarians, gun owners, annd anyne who takes a stand regarding their rights. so wake up ,,WE ALL BETTER BAN TOGETHER WHITE BLACK GREEN BLUE I DONT CARE WHAT COLOR. As Americans we better get organized and start making moves before we are all verichipped and worshipping a FACIST DICTATOR.

  • I think there are many problems with the Democratic party, but Ms. Sheehan's comments regarding the racial composition of the delegates are off target. The 2000 census indicates that whites are 69.1% of the population. Many segments of our population may be under-represented by the census-takers' methodology, but this is the best information we have. The fact is, the Democratic National Convention had about the same proportion of white delegates as the U.S. has in its general population.

  • After doing some research, whites are actually 56.7% of the Democratic delegates which would make them underrepresented. The 2008 census estimate for whites is 66%.

What I could not find is the income level of the delegates, and this is what is important. I would bet that most if not all the delegates were upper middle class or the capitalist class which is the top 1% of the income level. As is in our society, roughly 50-75% of our society is not represented politically.

  • I love her, and everything she stands for, but I am tired of disillusionment..... there are only just a good few people when it comes down to it. People rather remain dysfunctional, limited, cowardly to keep their illusionary sense of security...then to take the risk to step out of their (so- called) comfort zones.

  • two courageous woman speaking truth to power, wading through the swamp of ignorance in this country

  • so the Greens now have the street gang vote...

  • WooooT!!!

    Power to the People!

    Green Is Growing!

  • ratonnewmex......do you have anything intelligent to say because you are very unconvincing?

  • Go right, go GREEN!

  • These two are a driving force of TRUTH!

  • Cynthia and Cindy. I listen to them and I believe there is HOPE. There CAN be change.

    What a POWERFUL message Cindy!

  • This woman is one of the true American heroes!

  • got that right....GOT THAT RIGHT

  • I like Ron Paul also but, we all know they will not let any one besides the guy they choose to run in office. Voting is a dishonest joke. It's pathetic that we cant have a fair vote. Anyway, I will be suprised if we even have an election. The project and plan the elite globalist evil leaders have is up and running and will stop at nothing. As a matter of fact, every thing is going to speed up because the internet is waking people up quicker than they thought and it's only a matter of time.

  • yeah i think they are panicing about the sheer number of sheeple waking form there slumber.. lots of great people doing a great job educating the masses.. i mean watchout these people are lunatics..they will stop at nothing.. expect canceled general selections. martial law. if they get a sniff of popular uprising they will attack iran and pull plug on dollar. im sure brit/isreali forces are itching to press on with the destruction of the usa.. so sickening. :(

  • interesting comment...they sure are dumping the god damn chemicals on us and have the motherfuckin ELF towers in high gear this month. i can see and feel it...no shit

  • i am voting for ron paul he is only one i trust one who has guts to stand up to this curropted govt,

  • Ron Paul would have been a great choice, but he pulled out of the race and he said he isn't a write in candidate. The best choice is to vote third party. I think Ron Paul will make an announcement who he is backing at the Freedom Rally.

  • ha ha ha ha ha ha...what a fuckin joke. Ron Paul is a FAGGOT. why didn't he stand next to Dennis K and demand impeachment? pathetic. that guy looks like the type hangin' out in a public restroom in a park off Penn Ave sucking someones dick

  • But Ron Paul remains a Republican - the party that supports McCain.

Both McKinney and Barr understood that it was time to walk away from parties whose leadership controls the outcome.

Ron Paul has to learn to walk away.

  • Ron Paul is out of the race, just like Dennis Cucinich. They both better join the Green Party or create their own party! Something called like PFTP (Party For The People) They can always have good connections with the Green Party then.

  • Ron Paul stays Republican to stay in office. Because his voters are republicans, and have been brainwashed to think there are only two choices, and of course in Texas if you don't live in any of the cities then you better not be caught being anything other than Republican. He understands the culture and sticks up for those who have no voice. That's why I respect him. Other than that he is any other career politician who will do anything to progress.

  • Catch 22. He can only stay in office as long as he follows the Republican leadership when asked . . . even when it goes against the principles he espouses.

Basically he can stay in as long as he only talks about change rather than attempts it.

Sometimes you wake up in the morning, look in the mirror and say, what would I be willing to sacrifice for the hope that I can actually achieve what I'm aiming for.

I admire Cynthia for doing this instead of running for her seat again.

  • If I was in his position. I would find people that think like myself, and want to take real action, and then we will hedge up against the status quo. This happens quite a lot when city officials want to get rid of the corruption. It's a real battle, and you need to find like minded individuals. It's better to do that ruin your political career, and fight for what's right. Than sell your soul. That catch-22 is quite easy to fix, but he is in love with the republican's teethe.

  • Fair enough. He's ok on a few issues, but his approach parallels that of the likes of Kucinich as well, i.e. the best way to effect change is to stay inside the big tent party. Even if the party marginalizes you and the views, values and public policy positions you stand for. Politicians like Sheehan, McKinney, Rahim (look him up under the 2nd district congressional race in Louisianna) no longer believes that's possible. Dennis said as much on democracy now in an interview this week.

  • Those of us who've joined the greens, other "third parties" or independent movements no longer believe that's possible. How can you with the likes of McCain or the "bought and sold" Obama? McKinney 08! Cindy and Malik (and Dennis) for Congress!

  • pretty much when I say nihilism. It's basically hopelessness, but in more of a sense that it actually keeps you from doing something. It's very damaging to society. I mean it can be as mild as someone going apathetic in current events because they realize there is not much they can do. To the extreme of just not caring about your life, your condition, and that of your family's. There are things you can do to change those things for the better but if you're a nihilist. Well you don't see an exit.

  • I have to agree with the others on it. It isn't possible. The two parties are too large with too many influencial people. The ones in need of change won't be getting it soon because the status quo is benefiting right now, and I think people are waking up to it. But once everyone realizes this. Hopefully we take action instead of stop caring. The Black community in America realized this centuries ago sooooo as you can tell most of us are over taken by nihilism.

  • Actually, I may have to eat some of my words given what Ron did yesterday and over the last few months. As well as given what Kucinich did 2 weeks ago in Minnesota, basically the opposite. For the rest of this week at least, Paul's one step ahead of the left of the democratic party since he basically went as far as possible in combatting the interests in his own party w/o leaving it. His invitation to 4 other candidates in his press conference including the recalcitrant Barr speaks volumes!
