never forget that episode where that major charles ingram was on and teclan whittock was helping him by coughing at every answer. i think there was a pop question and whittock did not know so ingrams wife starting coughing. had to laugh as it was so comical.

As much as I do like this, why does it have to be completely computer made? The last USA one I remember had actual questions and actual answers in the beginning, with video footage of contestants and the city. They made most of it with real video... Why's this gotta be completely computer generated? (I don't mean to offend anyone with this. I'm not saying the USA one is the greatest, but it's just... different.)

@MrMariofan7 No. Euros are the currency of the Euro-Zone, which only half of Europe are part of. Norway, for example, use the Krone as currency, and they're in Europe, and Switzerland use the Franc.

Wow. They have a budget. Thing is, this now looks so overblown and gimmicky (alright, so the show is gimmicky in itself), but it now looks like some trash on daytime tv. The old titles made it look classier.

Although I hated the new intro and the music when I first heard it..it grew on me after a while. I also hated it that they changed it to twelve questions but then I thought about it..it makes the game faster with the removal of questions that were ridculously easy. I love the new graphics for loading the questions, not so much the money tree though. I think some of the elements will work great in the US version of Millionaire..I just wish they would bring back Fastest Finger First.

I meant UK gameshows, although come to think of it, Countdown is one which has been running from the 80's, but Millionaire UK is the only one still running from the 1990's.

1990s gameshows are dead now really.. 1980s ones such as Mastermind, Family Fortunes (albeit with celebs) and Uni Challenge.. now they're on about bringing Mr + Mrs back I think!

They didn't need to change the structure or look of the show, all they needed to do was remove the chatter and scrap those annoying text games, which really interrupted the flow of the programme. JUST GET ON WITH THE QUESTIONS CHRIS!

The new opening titles are tacky and the music is uninspiring - the 'heartbeat' music was fine as it was. The new money tree is also rather unbalanced.

I think that change is needed, as it has been resisted for too long and subsequently has been left to die for at least 5 years now. I'm not too sure about the new money structure. I think that 10 questions would be better, starting at £1000 guaranteed for the first correct answer. Also the set needs a fresh look.
